VERONICA'S POV
The bell rung and in backpack I have a letter I wrote to Betty a while back, but I was too scared to give it to her
However, Toni is right, I should shoot my shot, after I put this note in her locker our friendship forever will change.
"Let me just put something away in my locker. I'll be back" I try to say calmly and I think they fell for it
I walk towards my locker, so I technically was not lying. Betty's locker is kinda near mine, its across and 3 lockers to the right so it's in the same area as mine.
There it was locker 221. I swallow my saliva and make a big gulp. I open my backpack and grab the letter I wrote for her. I didn't write my name, but it says to meet me in the garden room at school. I fold the letter so it can fit into the little space on the top of her locker. I know her locker combination, but I feel like she would know it was me if I did that. I shove it in the space and walk back to find the girls.
TONI'S POV
The bell rings, meaning it's time for lunch. Everyone has the same lunch time which means I can humiliate Midge and Moose. I am not letting Jughead get away with this, I have to tell the serpents what he did. We're a gang and we have to deal with trash all the time, so dealing with Jughead won't be any different.
"Let's go to lunch" Betty said
"Let me just put something away in my locker. I'll be back" Veronica said and walked away to her locker. She seemed kinda nervous and on edge. I'll ask her whats wrong later on.
"Wait, do you want to go Cheryl? We don't have to, if you're not comfortable" Betty asked looking at Cheryl
"No we can go, I don't want them to see that they won" Cheryl said confidently
She tried to seem confident, but I caught a glimpse of fear in her eyes. I moved closer to her and held her hand, her hands were tensed, but relaxed once I held them
"I'm here for you Cheryl, I will always stand by you no matter what" I say looking into her eyes
She looked at me, but soon let go of my hand as soon as we got out of the library. My smile faded because of that action, but I understand why she did that.
Before we entered the cafeteria I saw Midge talking to some girl. I walked over to Midge and she looked at me scared. For a second I forgot why, but then I quickly remembered that I am apart of the serpents.
"Hey Midge" I say with a hint of anger
"Hey, Toni. I didn't think you knew who I was" She says shyly
"Oh trust me I didn't know who you were, but once I found out you like to bully and hurt my friends I knew I had to meet you" I tell her and getting closer to her "So you like to hurt people don't you" The girl next to her look so confused
"Yeah so what if I did hurt your friend" She says as she's starting to get my confident "You won't do anything to me because you'll get in trouble especially since you're a serpent"
a crowd of people started to circle around us, I roll my eyes, she can't scare me with this 'threat' I begin to laugh at it
"Trust me, I will. It probably won't be in during school, but then again I could hurt you during school. I don't give a fuck if we're at school or not, if you hurt a friend of mine I will get back at you for that. So if I were you be very cautious where ever you go" I tell her while walking away "OH AND IF ANYONE HURTS A FRIEND OF MINE, I WILL HURT YOU. WHAT COMES AROUND, GOES AROUND" I say looking directly at Jughead
