Cheryl's POV:
It's finally Friday , I should be happy but I would rather be in school then be here at home with my family. All my parents do is compare me to JJ, I love my brother don't get me wrong but I just hate how I'll never be good enough for my parents.
JJ gets average grades and he gets praised for it, I get straight A's and all I get is that's what is expected of you.
I put on a turtle neck shirt and overalls on, I do a braid on my hair, put my glasses on and head downstairs. I see JJ eating breakfast, but I don't eat. Mother had told me not to eat breakfast because I am getting fat.
"Hey Cheryl, mom and dad are gone for a church event, you know what that means " he says as he's eating his bowl of cereal
"Yes, I know a party. But I'm not joining in, I'll be upstairs reading. And I want nothing with this party," I say as I point at him.
He puts both of his hands up and says "I know Cheryl, I know. I'm just giving you a heads up" while laughing.

As I walk around the sea of teens in school, I notice a certain pink hair but disappears quickly. Maybe I'm just seeing things I say to myself. I head to the back seats in my AP Calculus class. I like to keep to myself which is why I sit in the back of each of my classroom.
As I'm reading my book, a beautiful voice asks me a question
"Hey is this seat next to you taken?"
I look back and see it's the girl from service the other day. I try to say something, but nothing comes out so I just nod my head.
Towards the end of the class, I turn my head facing her and finally having the courage to talk to her
"I didn't know you went to this school" I told her
"My school shut down and I was transferred here, by the way I'm Toni, Toni Topaz" she says as she smiles and extends her hand to shake my hand
"You're from the Southside? I'm Cheryl Blossom." I say timidly and I shake her hand
Toni was about to speak but the bell rung. I turned around to pack my things, expecting her to leave like everyone else does. However, to my surprise she stood there waiting for me
I was taken back a bit
"I thought you left,"
"Now why would I leave when I'm talking to the most beautiful girl" she says and winks at me
I blush and I'm pretty sure anyone can notice that, but I quickly remember that I am not. Mother has always told me that I am not and to never believe anyone because they're just lying to me.
"Thank you, but I'm not" I sadly said. I put my head down and walk out. As soon as I got out of school I ran straight home. Thank goodness no one was home, sometimes I wish there was someone here that actually cared for me. I went into my room and start to cry. Vivid memories of my mom beating me while calling me ugly, a mistake, a loveless monster and deviant. I couldn't even breath from all of the running , but now I for-sure can't grasp any air. I knew all too well from past experience that I was having an anxiety attack.
"You're an ugly, starving anorexic! No one wants you at all. You'll never find love because you were a mistake" mothers voice filled my head. All the comments she has told me, are all true.
Toni POV:
"Thank you, but I'm not" she said as she walked pass by me. My first instinct was to follow her and of course I did.
"Cheryl"
"Cheryl, please turn around"
She didn't seem to listen to me, but I continued to follow her
"Hey Toni" Jughead yelled as he grabbed my wrist, stopping me from following Cheryl
"WHAT JUG"
He was shocked, but didn't let go of me
"Let go of me" I tried to stay calm, but him being obnoxious didn't help
"Hey, hey why are you so tensed"
I rolled my eyes as he continued. I searched for Cheryl, but she was nowhere to be found, but i did see her exit the school.
"Anyways.... I was wondering if you wanted to"
He paused for a little bit and looked at me
"Go on. I don't have all day." I said impatiently
"If you wanted to go with me to a party. I know it doesn't sound like me, but you should come."
"Whose party is this ?" I asked
"Jason Blossom, his parents went away so it'll just be him and his sister, Cheryl" he started to ramble, but I didn't pay attention. I just knew I had to go because Cheryl was going to be there
"Okay yeah I'll go with you" I smiled and went outside to find Cheryl.
I couldn't find her anywhere. So I guess I'll wait for the party.
