I raised my lantern high, holding up my hand as I could see the guards pointing their weapons in my direction, "Wait! Please, I need to see the king!"
He slowly stalked out of the darkness, his eyes shining under the moonlight, "Speak, I do not tolerate your kind."
"My people are in danger, I beg for your help." I knelt down and kept my head down in sorrow.
The king raised his head higher, grunting, "Your kind killed mine off ages ago, you do not deserve my help."
