Chapter 3: Searching

"Well that makes much more sense, Sweets and I are going with you two. I don't want him looking for you when you look for Cheryl" he stated
"Thanks Fangs" I smiled
"Do you like her" he asked
"I don't know, it's just something about her that. I can't pinpoint it, but if I do like her I will let you know"
He smiled and right on cue Sweet Pea and Jughead came in the room
"Hey Toni, are you ready" Jughead shyly asked
"Sweet Pea and I are going to" Fangs said right before I was going to talk
"Oh yeah, you guys should come" I grinned, I looked at Fangs. We both smiled mean while Sweet Pea look confused.
"I guess" Jughead murmured sounding upset.
It got awkward until Sweet Pea told us that we should head to the party right now.

"Hey Tiny What was that" Sweet Pea asked
"I'll tell you later, just not right now" I responded
He nodded and we went on our motorcycle and left to the party.

Cheryl's POV:
As soon as the party started Veronica and Betty both left me. I knew this would happen, I'm so stupid for believing them. I shake my head and walk to the kitchen to grab something to drink before I head upstairs to my room.
"Oh hey Cheryl, what are you doing here" Chuck asked while I was pouring myself a drink
He was intoxicated and anyone was able to tell.
"Just grabbing a drink and heading out" I tried to make our conversation short so I can leave and I was about to leave but he stopped me
"Nah, you should stay with me for the rest of the night" he started to get near with each word he said and started to corner me so that I wouldn't be able to escape.
"Leave me alone Chuck," I told him
"Nah, we're just about to have fun" he smirked
His head kept getting closer to mine. I didn't know what to do so I just spilled my drink all over him
"What the hell, I'm trying to help you. You're just a nerd. I was trying to help you, you slut" he yelled while backing up causing people to stare at me. They all looked like they were gonna laugh, I noticed Jughead just standing there and laughing at me. He was encouraging everyone to laugh as well. My glasses started to get blurry because of my tears.
I rushed out of the area and headed to my room and locked my door so no one could come in. I knew this was stupid idea. I don't know why I said yes to going. I cried to myself and no one was able to hear me because of the people talking and the loud music
I hear a soft knock on my door, it was barely a knock

"Who is it" I yelled
"It's me, Toni. Can I come in" she asked
I don't know why but just hearing her voice makes me feel calm

TONI's POV:
We got to the party and everyone was already drunk. There were too many horny teenagers here. I shake my head and go inside the house.
"I'm going to get us some drinks, I'll be right back" Jughead said
"Thank goodness he left. His presence was annoying me" Sweet Pea said
"Okay go Tiny, it's time to find your woman" Fangs said as he was trying to shoo me away
"I'm starting to think you just don't want me to be next to you" I laughed as I said that
"Of course I want to hang out with you , but finding Cheryl is a must and is on top of the list" he explained
As I was going to leave Jug comes back
"Here is your drink Toni" he said trying to get in between Fangs and I.
"Uh thanks Jones" I shrugged backing away from him
"It's weird I just saw Cheryl in the kitchen at THE party, she never goes to parties. But then again she just left rushing out of the kitchen because of Chuck" he explained while laughing. Sweet Pea scolded him, but then stopped.
Sweets, Fangs and I look at each other. They nod their head to tell me to leave so I can find her
"I'm going to go use the restroom" I excused myself and handed my drink to Sweet Pea
Jughead smirked and said "I'll go with you"
I scoff and leave him. He tried to follow but my boys hold him back.
I find the stairs and walk up. Man people just randomly make out anywhere. Horny teens these days. I open every door there is upstairs, no sight of Cheryl. I tried to open one door when I find its locked. I press my ears to the door and I hear someone crying. I knock on the door
"Who is it?" I hear her and she sounds so distress. My heart breaks and yearns to be with her. To hold her and comfort her.
"It's me, Toni. Can I come in?" I ask
No reply. I wait there until I hear the door open.
She steps aside so I can enter in. I look around and face her. She closes the door and we just look at each other.
"I wanted to see how you were and if I did anything wrong to please forgive me" I explain to her
She shakes her "Toni you didn't anything bad to me. Today was just an off day for me" I can tell she's lying to me.
I grab her right hand, hold it and look back to her eyes  "Cheryl, if there's anything wrong. I will always be here for you, I know we just met but I will always be here. If you don't want to tell me, it's okay because I respect you and I want you to trust me" I softly say to her.
She looks at me and hugs me. I embrace her and I hear her cry a little. I continue to hold her and rub her back. I back up a little and take her glasses off so they won't ruin her face.
I don't know what happened, but all I know is I need to be with her.
After a while she stops, I lead her to her bed so we can sit down and talk.
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that, I don't know why-"
"Cheryl don't ever say sorry for having feelings, or showing them, okay" I said
"Mother says I'm this ugly, deviant loveless monster. And when you told me I was beautiful, something in my head just brought me back to what mother would always tell me."
"Cheryl, I am so sorry but you have to know your mother's wrong," I say. "You're not loveless, you're not deviant, OK? You're sensational."

"Cheryl, you are beautiful and although I do not know you very well YET, I can't wait because I can tell you are an amazing person. "

She looks down and smiles, I continue 

"Your smile is contagious, I don't know why Chuck was being a dick to you"

She looks up almost immediately 

"Y-y-you know what he did" she nervously asked

"Not fully, Jughead kinda told me, and I was so pissed at him for laughing and more mad at Chuck for doing whatever he did to you" I angrily said but calmed down as soon as her face

"I kinda punched Chuck in the face before I got here" I nervously said as I was scratching my head

"You did that, f-for me?" she asked 

"Of course I did, no one deserves to be treated like that" I said

She looks at my eyes to searching for any  signs of me lying, but I wasn't. And she saw that I wasn't lying.

We just continue on to gaze into each others eyes until a noise interrupts us

"So what brings you to this party" she asked me
"Jughead invited me" I say and look at her she seems to be sadden by it and I continued to talk "I didn't want to go because parties are not my thing, but when he told me it was at a certain red heads house I know I had to go." I smirked hoping she would get it
"Oh JJ , everyone loves him" she says looking away
I touch her face and turn her head to face me gently.

"I came to see you, Cheryl. I don't even know who JJ is, no offense. My friends Fangs and Sweet Pea came to cockblock for me. I don't even like Jughead." I explained to her
If only you saw how her eyes lit up because they were so bright.
"So I heard parties weren't your thing, Ms. Blossom" I said
"I don't like them, they're too crowded with people I don't know and with people who don't like me"
She shrugged
"Same here, but how can no one not like you. I barely know you and I know you're an amazing person" I replied back. She looks down and smiles.
Ugh she has the most beautiful smile. I can tell I'm falling for her fast and I barely know anything about her
We decided to watch a movie for the rest of the night. But I'm a Cheerleader is the movie we watched.

"I feel like my parents would make me go to one of those conversion camps." Cheryl quietly says.
"If they ever do, I'll save you" I say and wink at her
we both get closer to each other and end up cuddling each other.
This felt right.

I look down and see her sleeping peacefully, I take her glasses off so they won't break. I stare at her and even without glasses she looks beautiful. I admire her beauty until my eyes start to close.
