Adoption Day

YOONA POV
It was finally the day, I was gonna be adopted into a family. When they told me I was so surprised I mean not many people want a 16 year old girl. I was extremely ecstatic to meet my new family. I hope that they would like me. I hope that they like me I was worried about what they would think of me, after all I was just average.

Even though I live in America both my parents were Korean and I was taught to speak Korean when I was younger so I could speak and write well enough in Korean and in English and as you can assume I was Korean.

I moved with my parents with I was 2 years old. I have deep brown eyes, full pink lips, sun kissed skin, a v-shape head with a cute little button nose. The "ideal" Korean face along with my petite body and long, naturally dark brown, but currently bright red hair.

I liked to dye my hair every 2 or 3 months a different color. I felt like it helped me express who I was. I sadly had braces and glasses though so at times I could look quite nerdy, but thankfully I was getting my braces taken off before I was to leave for Korea to meet my new family at the airport, I also wore contacts whenever I was out of the house unless I was just going for groceries for the house or leaving for work.
~Time Skip~
I got my braces taken off and my mouth already felt so much more free! Though they did get mice me a retainer but after having braces for so long, that was the least of my worries especially with the thought that I was getting on plane to see my new family in a few hours. I looked at my phone to see the time.
~10:36pm~
I sighed and started walking back to the house I still had 4 hours til I had to leave. I slowly trudged back to the house and onto the porch before I twisted the doorknob and walked inside of the large and honey foster home. I smiled as I saw a body running at me full force. "Yoona!" Yelled Amarie as I picked him up into a warm spinning hug while we both laughed with wide grins spread across ours faces.

Amarie was a little boy I found in the alleyway on my way back home from school. He was cold and sickly I assumed that he didn't have any family if he was outside like that in the middle of winter. He was only 2 then, but thankfully despite everything he was able to recover and now he is a happy and healthy 4 year old boy.

I smiled back at him before catching him in my grasp and attacking his sides making both of break out into a fit of laughter and warm giggles. "If...you...don't....hehehe... stop... now... I'm gonna.....hahah.......pee my pants!" Amarie giggled warmly as I tickled him taking small breaks of breaths and laughter in between his words. I stopped and stood up before putting my hand down to help him up. He stared at me fondly for a second before he broke out into a wide grin making me look at him with confusion.

"Guess what Yoona?" Amarie said jumping up and down looking at me with twinkling eyes. "Hmm?" I hummed back as I grinned at his cute actions. "I got adopted today!" He smiled brightly. I started crying as I was so happy that he finally found a family, Amarie was truly the sweetest little boy ever.

"What's wrong?" Amarie asked me asked he tried pulling my hands off of my face, concern laced in his voice. I looked up at him and smiled. "Nothing's wrong I'm just happy that you're getting adopted!" I said as I hugged him putting my hand on top of his curly black locks. "Don't cry cause I won't forget you so it's ok!" He smiled at me brightly. I felt my heart melt at his words as he smiled fondly at me before I wrapped him in a hug giving him a kiss on his forehead.

I looked at the time before looking back at Amarie and frowning. "Amarie it's 11:14pm, why are you still awake?" I asked still frowning as I picked him up walking to his room. "They wanted to take me today but I didn't wanna leave before I could say bye bye to you!" He said slightly frowning at me. I sighed deeply at him. "Well I'm glad I got to say bye bye to you Amarie but they will probably be here early to get their son, so you need to sleep!" I said smiling warmly at him as I tucked him into bed. "Goodnight Amarie." I said to him as I kissed the top of his head. "Goodnight Yoona!" He said to me as he wrapped his little arms around my neck before kissing my cheek as he quickly fell into a deep sleep.

I walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower before walking out and grabbing my clothes that I had ready for the flight. It was a comfy and cute yet simple outfit. It was a pair of grey loose fitting sweatpants, a light yellow crop top that was frilled at the bottom and stopped right above my belly button and a pair of white slip-on vans I quickly grabbed a fresh dark red laced thong and a matching bra before grabbing a towel and running back into the shower.

I quickly stripped out of my clothes after locking the door and opened the glass door of the shower before slipping in and under the warm water groaning as it fell down my skin. I stood like that unmoving for a few minutes before I grabbed my shampoo and started washing my hair, after I rinsed it I put the conditioner in my hands as I worked it trough my thick, long, brightly colored hair before I wrapped it up to let the conditioner sit while I washed my face and hair. When I was finished I rinsed our the conditioner before turning off the shower and stepping out and getting dried off and dressed I sat and blow dried my hair before putting it up in a messy bun. I put my slightly fogged up glasses on and walked out of the bathroom and into my room.

I checked the time, 12:56am, before I did a double take and then a tripe and quadruple take to make sure that I had all of the things I would need. I sighed and laid back in the bed before I set my alarm for 1:15am before I took a quick nap. When I woke up I quickly packed my charger in my Nike backpack before grabbing my suitcase and leaving. As I stepped into the cool, summer night I took a deep breath and said goodbye to this place before the social worker took my suitcase and put it in the back seat of the SUV before she and I got into the car and pulled away to the airport. Oh man, it was really time...
