It started with a text - {Choni}

- Chapter 32 -

Cheryls Pov

I slowly stirred in bed as I started to wake up, I felt myself roll over in bed, expecting Toni's warm body to be next to mine. But all there was was air where her body lay the night before. I started to move around the bed more, pushing the duvet around but found no one else there with me. My eyes shot open and I sat up suddenly and looked around the room, but no one else was in the room.

After I got up and out of bed I made my way into the bathroom, splashed cold water over my face and sighed deeply, what if this was all a dream. What if Toni was a dream. Cheryl Blossom would never be lucky enough to be able to spend time with someone as nice as Toni Topaz. Her mom had spent her whole life trying to torment her, this was probably one of her greenhouse drugs manipulating her brain into thinking Toni was real, but yet again, why would she be in a trailer in the Southside if Toni didnt exist. As I started to turn around I felt two hands crash onto my shoulders, causing me to jump out of my skin.

"Hey Red, it's me don't worry!" I instantly recognised the voice to be Sweetpea's, causing me to try and push him away in shock, but to no surprise he barely moved an inch.

"Oh my god Sweetpea, what are you trying to do, KILL ME!" I fell to the floor with my head in my hands as he just sat laughing at me, until he realised something was wrong then he came to a sudden stop.

"Hey hey hey, whats wrong?" He started to sit down infront of me, his raven hair falling over the front of his face and he grabbed my hands and moved them away from my face.

"Toni isn't real.. is she?" Sweetpea started to laugh again in front of me, obviously not taking me seriously.

"Who's Toni?" He asked, his face suddenly turning serious, causing me to start sobbing again. "I'm kidding Red, of course she is." Then he started laughing even harder than before, thinking he is the worlds best practical joker.

"God I hate you! I was being serious you birdbrain!" Sweetpea lifted me up slowly then pulled me into a bearhug, while my arms were still trapped by my side, causing it to be very awkward.

"What? Did you have a bad dream last night? Also yes I know you stayed over I practically live on the sofa." I looked awkwardly at him before pushing myself out of the hug.

"It added fuel to the fire when she wasn't next to me this morning." He looked at me confused, almost like he forgot something, before quickly pulling a piece of paper out of his pocket. Dropping it. Then scurrying to pick it back up again and wrapping it in my hand.

"About that.... she woke me up earlier and told me to give you this when you woke up." I was about to open it and read it before he stopped me. "Oh! And before I fizzle off into the distance, she told me...to tell you.. to just trust her, if you feel the same way." Sweetpea made a loud 'poof' noise before walking backwards into the wall behind him, banging his head, causing me to giggle lightly and then walking away mysteriously.

I looked back down at my clenched hands and separated my fingers slowly, revealing a perfectly folded Pop's Chock'lit shoppe napkin laying in my palm. I picked it up and read the message which was obviously written in eyeliner pencil.

Hey Cher,

I know you are wondering why im not home right now, but if you trust me, everything will be answered slowly, but surely. My first instruction is for you to go to the kitchen.....  I bought you breakfast :)

Tee-Tee.

A small smile spread over my face now that I knew everything was okay, I shoved the note deep into the back pocket of Toni's shorts and wiped away the tears that were still making their way down my face before walking into the small kitchen at the front of the trailer.

Once I walked in I found a Pop's takeout bag sat on the table in the kitchen with a barstool pulled out next to it, I opened it slightly to find a blueberry pancake in a take-out box and a bowl of  fruit granola next to it. Outside of the bag was a large Strawberry milkshake, already poured into a glass cup. Somehow Toni perfected my favourite order at Pop's without even asking.

I pulled everything out of the paper bag and opened the containers, causing the sweet fumes from all the meals to be released into the trailer, hiding the scent of the same strawberry perfume that Toni wore.

As I started to eat I was looking around her trailer as I didn't get a chance to last night to see more than I knew about her. Polaroids were hanging from the walls of the trailer of her and the Serpents together from when they looked like fetus' to now. The image of a small Toni repeated itself around them all, showing me that she had always had the same style that I loved now when she was younger, there was something special about it that I thought was just so good.

As well as pictures of her friends, there were the few artistic pictures of both the night sky and some of the landmarks in a place as small as Riverdale.. The Drive In... The Bijou... even the  coffee shop were I first landed my eyes properly on Toni. These would explain why she carried her camera around with her everywhere.

Once i finished by pancake I found another folded up napkin underneath the few blueberries which I left behind, I picked it up and unfolded it and unsurprisingly it was another note left by Toni.

I guess if your reading this then you do trust me, which makes me happy. This is kind of a test, to make sure this isnt an act. I really want to know you care. Im sorry that I wasnt there this morning but I had to leave VERY early to set this up. If you need anything, just ask Sweetpea, he's a softy really. Once you have finished eating, go to my closet, wear whatever you want, I dont mind. But then follow my instructions and you will find me, then I will know you care.

Go to the place where this whole thing started.

My usual, a Vanilla Latte.
