It started with a text - {Choni}

- Chapter 7 -

Toni's Pov

I woke up to the loud bang of the door of my trailer, I didnt want to get out of bed, ever. I was so comfortable and tired, and besides, why would I get out of bed just to be bullyed by northsiders for 7 hours of my day. But the banging consisted, so I slowly rolled myself out of my bed, causing me to crash onto the floor. I moaned in pain, slowly picking myself up, rubbing my head in the process. I was stilled wrapped in my duvet while I walked over to the front door. I took my time unlocking it and carefully pulled it open to reveal fangs, he looked at me awkwardly.
"Umm Tiny, why arent you ready for school?" He stood scratching his head at me questioningly.
"Wait.. what time is it?" My voice was still croaky as I had just woken up.
"Approximately 8:20, meaning we have to be at school in 30 minutes." I suddenly dropped my covers and ran into my room, quickly putting on an outfit and doing my makeup. I tried to look as best as I could as I had Cheerleading tryouts later, and for putting all of this together in 10 minutes, I had to say it was pretty good. Finally I shoved all my books and my sports kit in my bag and ran back to the front door.
"Ok, lets go!" I said to Fangs who was sat on his phone on his motorbike, obviously bored out of his mind.
"Ugh finally we can go, you really need to get an alarm tiny." I glared at him. "Woah chill, someones in a bad mood."
"Im not in a bad mood just stressed." I explained while putting on my helmet.
"Why would that be."
"Im trying out for the Senior Cheerleading squad." Fangs started laughing at me. "What I'm being serious!"
"Cheryl Blossoms Cheerleading squad, please, you haven't got a chance in hell. She hates us." He told me, while laughing.
"Oh well, i'll try. Besides, im only a Serpent out of school hours."
"Good luck Tiny, you better prepare for a verbal beatdown."
"Please, I'm used to it by now."

We finally started to make our way to Riverdale High, but we were speeding the whole time meaning we got there in 5 minutes. When I arrived I expected Blossom to be waiting for us, to give us our daily rant. But she arrived after us and walked straight past us, almost as if she didnt even realise we were there. Weird. She was probably too busy concentrating on auditions, which is what I should have my mind set towards.

The school day went by just like any other, being bored out of my mind. But this time there were no texts from the mystery girl, probably because I got in trouble last time, and no insults from any northsider. Which I have to say, was very weird.

Once the final bell rang I ran down to the locker room to find hundreds of girls moving around, getting changed and ready for the tryouts. This gave me a little bit more confidence that no one would notice that Im a serpent and that I would just blend in with everyone else. But part of me knew that it would never happen.

When we all moved into the sports hall we spread out and almost immediatley Veronica noticed me.
"Oh my god, look who had the audacity to turn up to Vixen auditions. Southside slut. Why the hell are you even here?" I rolled my eyes at her and glanced over to Cheryl, who hadnt moved a bit. She was just sat in her seat, looking at me almost... apologettically..
"Im here Veronica, because I have moves, and I want to join the team. Yes im a Serpent outside of school. But in here, I'm just like you, wherever Im from shouldnt make a difference. Why dont you just let me audition like every other girl in here."
Veronica started to chuckle at me, almost as if she wasn't taking me seriously.
"Fine then, if you have got moves, then surely you can beat me in a dance battle." Honestly, I didnt even know what I was getting myself into.
"Challenge accepted lodge."

Everyone scattered to the edges of the hallway, leaving me and Veronica in the middle of the room, Cheryl and Betty infront of us, giving me very judgemental looks. Almost to tell me that I had made a mistake in doing this. But I wasnt going to give up, I knew that if I beat Veronica I would practically secure a place on the team. So this was my one shot.

When the music started Veronica started dancing straight away, but she was doing basic moves, which I knew I could beat. Cheryl was staring at her proudly, like the bitch she is. When I felt the bass drop I quickly stepped in front and started dancing, pulling out moves I never realised I could do, almost miles better than Veronica's. I could feel her getting jealous behind me so she stepped infront of me and tried to match my moves. She was executing them poorly, and she even ended up slipping over during some of the moves. Causing me to laugh and her to get stressed. By the time the song was over Cheryl had a very shocked expression on her face, almost as if she wasnt assuming this. I quickly scanned around the room, looking for anyone smiling at me or being happy, but everyone had the same shocked expression. Not useful.

Betty stood up and walked over to me and Veronica.
"I mean, I think its a no brainer, dont you guys agree?" All the girls in the hall started clapping. "Welcome to the Vixens Toni!" She came over and hugged me and handed me a Vixens uniform. I looked over back at Veronica, who now had Cheryl at her side, screaming at her for how awful her performance was. I knew that being in the Vixens was going to be hard, but I was ready for it.
