- Chapter 21 -

How the hell was that bitch Kim back up and fighting even though I beat her up, literally a few nights ago. Also why the hell was she fighting Toni. I thought they were both Serpents.

I sprinted over to Toni on the floor as fast as I could, my long legs finally coming in useful. Kim was towering over her, still throwing punches at her face, even though she was unconscious, I couldnt stand seeing her like this. I got emotional and started to scream at her.

"Stop! Please Stop! Don't touch her, look how much pain she is in!"  I reached them and pushed her off from ontop of her, causing her to roll on the floor, I walked over to her, leaving Toni on the floor, almost lifeless. Kim slowly started to push herself back onto her feet, staring deeply into my eyes the whole time. I was panicking, I had never had a petty fight in school before, forget something serious like this.

"Well, we meet again Red.."

"I thought I told you not to touch her ever again.." How the hell didnt she even have the guts to come here. Was I not intimidating enough. Either that or she was so braindead that she didnt even know what I meant.

"How could I resist, smothering my hands all over her body, it's all ive been dreaming about." She disgusts me.

"You sicko, what the hell is wrong with you!" I grasped my hand tightly around Toni's knife and slashed it directly at Kims arm, causing her to instantly shout in pain. Blood was soaking through her jacket in a matter of seconds, a sight I was used to seeing by now.

"What the hell!" I laughed at her, but she quickly swung back, causing a direct hit in my jaw. I screamed, the shock running through my body, but I had to push through the pain. She was weak, and I needed to do this of both me and Toni would be dead.

"I thought I told you if you touched her again, you would be dead. Looks like you made a mistake." Before I could hit her other arm with the blade, she punched me in the stomach, causing me to topple over and onto the floor. My anxiety and panic was getting to me, causing me to become distracted, and unaware of the smallest things.

"Oh no, looks like you made a mistake." She pulled her knife out of her pocket, and stabbed directly down towards me, but I managed to roll out of the way just in time. I looked over to see her knife, stuck in the ground, directly where I was laying and I let out a quiet shriek, looking at the mess that could have been my lifeless body. I quickly scrambled onto my feet and hit her on the side of the temple with the bottom of my knife, causing her to fall onto the ground, on the verge of unconsciousness.

"This is what you get for messing with such a kind soul." I straddled over Kim, holding her in position and ripped the knife out of her hands, so she couldnt harm me. I took in one last deep breath, prepared myself and brought my arm up into the air. Then dug Kims knife deep into her own chest.

I watched as her face instantly faded pale, and she took her final breaths. I got up and started to stumble back, realising what I had just done. I gasped as my hand covered my mouth and I dropped her knife out of pure shock. I had just killed someone. I wanted to run, run far away, but I didnt.

I had almost completely forgotten about Toni, until I heard her gasps for air on the floor next to me, my neck snapped around to face her and I ran over to her and knelt next to her on the floor and grabbed her hand in mine.

"I know you probably cant her me, but I'm not leaving you T. We are going to get help, it will all be ok, I promise." I suddenly went back to the emotional place, tears flooding like rivers down my face. I picked up her motionless body and swung it over my shoulder and ran, ran for my life. I was panicking, her breaths were slowing down and becoming less frequent. I sprinted back towards my car, completely forgetting about any injuries I had right now, they were not important right now, only Toni's life was.

It took me a few more minutes to reach my car and I laid her down in the back seat, unable to belt her in. I just hoped for the best, and that me driving her wouldnt make her condition less stable than it already was.

"Ive got you Toni, its all fine, just stay with me. Please." I slammed the back door shut and jumped into the front seat and drove off as fast as I could and started to make my way towards Riverdale General hospital. I broke the speed limit the whole way there, and completely ignored any and all road signs or obstacles in my way, I just rammed them.

By the time we finally pulled up infront of the main entrance I didnt even bother parking my car, I just grabbed Toni and slowly stumbled my way into the hospital, dripping blood all over the bright white flooring. But no one was around, not one doctor in my sight.

"PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP US!" I started to hear the scramble of feet heading towards me, and numerous doctors appeared in front of us, looking just as shocked at Toni's condition as I felt. "PLEASE, HELP! SHES BEEN STABBED AND BEATEN UP SHE NEEDS HELP!"

"Someone get me a gurney!" A nurse came rushing out of a room with a hospital bed as a couple of doctors helped me with picking her up and placing her on the bed. I watched her get wheeled away in front of my eyes, but I couldnt stop stressing, thinking about the worse, I fell on the floor and just started balling as Toni got sent into surgery. A doctor came up to me to start asking me questions about her.

"Is there any chance you could tell me her name?" A tall man in a white trench-coat stood infront of me holding a clipboard.

"Antionette Topaz." He started to scribble notes on his clipboard. "Is she going to be ok?"

"Sorry that information is disclosed to family only.." I put my head in my hands.

"She has no family..." The man looked at me apologetically.

"I'm sorry, but looking at her current condition, it doesnt look very good.." I started to shake my head in disbelief.

"What..what do you mean?"

"She might not live through surgery. I'm sorry."
