Toni's Pov
When I arrived at the Wyrm I walked in to see every single Serpent huddled together in the center of the room, I had never seen so many of us in such a small place at the same time. I ran around the room, pushing past random people I had never seen before to look for Sweetpea and Fangs. When I finally saw the, sat on barstools near the cocktail bar, i quickly rushed over to them.
"Hey, whats going on, why are there so many people here?" I quickly questioned the two boys, who both looked as confused as I felt.
"Not a clue, we were just called here, Fp's explaining soon." Sweetpea replied and almost perfectly afterwards Fp walked on the stage to uphold the crowds.
"Serpents, quiet!" Every persons neck snapped around to face him. "I know your wondering why I called you all here today, don't worry, I'll explain." Everyone was looking at each other with the same, uneasy look. "I just wanted to announce that... peace has finally been arranged between the Serpents and the lodges." An uproar of chatter echoed around the room. Some angry voices, some obviously happy. "Which means no more eviction notices, no more targeting us, we are all in the clear, thanks to my son, Jughead." Jughead came up onto the stage and shook his dads hand.
"Oh my god, obviously Jones gets all the praise for nothing at all, how pathetic." Sweetpea whined, him and Fangs hated him with a passion, mainly because they had been members of the Serpents for years and got no praise, whereas Jughead been a member for all of a few minutes and is always the center of attention. I have to admit, it is quite annoying.
The next few hours consisted of celebrations and lots and lots of drunk people falling all over the place. I just spent the time with Fangs and Sweets, we weren't really in the mood to celebrate over something that only Jughead was being recognised for, even though we all worked for it. We stayed up and talked for hours and hours, it felt like we never ran out of things to tall about, probably because we all have such a strong bond. However I didnt want to tell them about the texts yet, they are too immature to understand what is going on, and would end up making fun of me. But I didnt care, even if texting a stranger gave me a little bit of comfort, I would do it.
Almost as if perfectly on cue, I got a text notification, and I felt happier sat in this bar than I had in a long time.
"Hey guys, I gotta go, talk to you tommorow?" I got up out of my seat and started to walk back over to the exit, while hearing them in the background questioning why I was leaving. I pulled my phone out of my jacket pocket to see a text from her.
C: Hey, I'm back, had to go to a meeting for Rivervixen stuff.
T: Any hints on what I have to do, the more info I have the better.
I scribbled a reply then got on my bike and drove back to my trailer. Once I was in the comfort of my own home I layed down on my bed and opened my texts to find a reply.
C: Hm.. now that would be cheating..
C: I'm kidding, everyone but Cheryl and Veronica have to re audition to get in, as they run it. You will be given a routine to learn tomorrow, same as everyone. You are judged on your performance and how fast you pick up the choreo. If... you get past that round, for the first year ever there is a freestyle round. Due to the fact that they want the best of the best in Senior year.
C: Your welcome for all this, only a limited amount of people know this, so you actually have time to prepare your freestyle.
C: Hello?
C: Are you there?
T: Oops, sorry was driving home. Tysm for the advice.
C: Also, may or may not have put a word in saying that the Serpents are good ass dancers.
C: Your Welcome :)
T: Awe the compliments.
C: shush I was generalising the serpents not just you.
T: you flatter me really.
C: shut up.
T: lol.
C: anyway, what was this serpent business about.
T: not suppose to say, secret.
C: oh come on, we have told each other so many hush hush things.
T: Fine, basically the Lodges have finally decided to stop shooting at the target that is the southside.
C: Wait is that good or bad.
C: My southside knowledge isn't very good tbf.
T: Yeh its vv good.
T: Also, your the one that said the serpents are good dancers *which is true* so you must have decent knowledge.
C: Fair play Topaz.
T: It still feels weird when u call me by my name when I dont know yours.
C: exactly why I do it :)
T: wow, your so nice.
C: Anyway, what type of dancing experience do you have.
T: serpent dance, you don't want to know...
C: Uh yes I do.
T: Rlly?
C: Duhhh
T: Fine, basically as a girl to get into the Serpents you need to do a "serpent dance" which is basically.... pole dancing, if you get me.
C: Geez, your a lil less innocent than you seem.
T: It was one time ok.. and I hated it, tried to get it outlawed, didnt work.
C: Welp sucks to be a serpent.
T: Agreed.
C: Anyway, your going to have to be really good to impress Cheryl and Veronica, especially since your a serpent...
T: God I hate them, and I hate being a serpent, they are such bitches to me, you get me..right?
C: Um... yeh.
T: Ok good.
We messaged for ages after that, about God knows what, but it kept me happy, and distracted. It felt less stressful talking to a stranger about my problems than my own friends and family. But before I knew it, I fell asleep, leaving 'C' to talk to herself.

A/N: Sorry there was no update over the past few days, I was away with my family, but I should be back frequently from now on. I'm not sure how often I will upload in like a weeks time as I start school again but oh well, I write these in the evenings anyway lol.
Btw: I'm trying to make this story as slow burn as possible incase you didn't realise, I have quite a few ideas and I dom't want it to end as a short story :).
P.S: Thanks for all the love on this story, it means a lot. :D
