It started with a text - {Choni}

- Chapter 3 -

Toni's Pov

After the mystery girl disappeared from the coffee shop and went back down into my chair, coffee next to me, considering who this person could be. I knew they wouldn't be a Southsider, because they would have talked to me, and I would probably have them as a contact. But I had never seen this number before, or know anyone that would talk to me via text and not even say a word to me, then run off.

I decided to put the number into my phone and text them, I relaxed in my chair, slowly exchanging messages between me and her. It was slow and awkward at first, because since I didnt have a clue who they were, I couldnt trust them in the slightest. I have really bad trust issues, and I was worried that who ever it was would tell the whole school my secrets, but once we talked for a little bit, I started to ease up with the whole texting a stranger thing. She was even starting to tell me some of her most private things.

However just when I was enjoying our conversation, I got a text from Fangs.

F: Hey Tiny, I need your help, how fast can you get to my trailer?

T: Give me five minutes.

And in that moment, I stopped texting this Anonymous agony aunt, ran outside and hopped on my bike. Normally, whenever Fogarty texted me, it was Urgent. Most times, Serpent business, but every now and again personal business. Whatever it is, I want to get to him as fast as I can, as he is my best friend, and anything that matters to him, matters to me. When I finally arrived I ran inside, slamming open his door.

"Hey Fangs, whats up?" My eyes darted all over his trailer looking for him but couldn't find him.
"I'm in here Tiny." I looked over to his room, obviously where his voice was coming from. I walked in to find him on the floor with hundreds of different clothes around him, he was a hot mess.
"Oh my god...fangs what are you doing?" I started to laugh while I was speaking, he was up to his knees in pants, sweatshirts, jackets, shirt and all you could think of.
"I have a date...with Keller, in 15 minutes, and I dont know what to wear Tiny...and as your my Gay best friend I thought you could help..." oh my god, he actually got a date with the Sheriffs son, pretty good going.
"Oh my god...yes!" I instantly picked him up and started to search through his clothes, item by item. I found a tight light grey tee shirt and put it on his bed. I kept looking and found a pair of black ripped jeans, that had been rolled up the a 3/4 length and put them with the top. Finally I found a white and black plaid top that he could tie around his waist. I picked it all up and handed it to him, indicating for him to go get changed.

As soon as he walked into the bathroom, I pulled my phone out of my pocket, and instantly sent the mystery girl a text message apologising.

T: Hey, sorry I had to go, my best friend needed an outfit for a first date, don't judge...

I heard the bathroom door unlock and Fangs walk out, so I quickly stuffed my phone back into my pocket. Fangs had added to his outfit by wearing a long, silver plated necklace with a Fang on the end of it, his classic black boots but no Serpent jacket, because if there was any chance that Sheriff Keller saw his son with a Serpent, fangs' date would be over before it even began.

"Ugh Fangs, this is perfect, Kevin is going to fall for you in a matter of seconds." His face lit up with my comment, he had been trying to get a date with him for years now, but has only just got the chance as Kevin broke up with his boyfriend Moose.
"Are you sure Tiny, I've waited so long for this moment." Even though he was a Serpent, he was a chicken on the inside, and thats why I loved him.
"Listen to me, he asked you out, even though he knew you were a Serpent, he will love you like this." He ran over to me and squeezed me, he was acting like such a happy puppy. My phone vibrated in my back pocket and the notification went off.
"I gotta bounce Topaz, thank you for this." He genuinely seemed so excited, and it made me happier in this time of breakup. He walked out of the trailer with me following closely behind. He hopped onto his bicycle and drove straight towards the Northside. As soon as he was out of sight I ran straight to my trailer and locked the door and unlocked my phone to see a new message.

C: A good makeover is the cure for a breakup, even when you are giving someone else one.

I haven't heard a statement so true in a long time, my mind had completely cleared just from helping fangs and talking to her.

T: Good point, my minds completely blank now.
C: Thats good, right?
T: Yeah..I guess.
C: So...I wanna know some more about you..
T: What do you want to know.
C: I don't know.. something..basic, like whats your,favourite colour?
T: Pink any day, but you probably guessed that because of my hair.
C: Yes.. yes I did, bold choice of hair dye there.

I dont know how, or why, but messaging her made me laugh, in a good way. Even though we weren't saying jokes, I just found it funny.

T: So... whats yours?
C: Red, by far. No other colour even comes close.
T: Red.. Interesting choice.
C: Personally, I think its the best colour ever...anyway, what's next.
T: Favourite drink?
C: Cherry Cola any-day, anytime.
T: Never tried it tbf.
C: Wow how could you, so insulting...
T: Anyway, mine is a chocolate milkshake, by far, Pops to be precise.
C: meh... I prefer strawberry.. but still, Pops is a good choice.
T: Oh I forgot to ask you, what should I call you?
C: Just call me... C. What about you?
T: I'm 'T' to you. Alright 'C'.. what now?

Me and 'C' continued to message for a few hours, discussing simple questions like "whats your favourite food?", it was idle conversation, and it was keeping me company, taking my mind off the events of the day. But I felt myself slowly getting tireder and tireder until I felt like I was going to pass out. So I had to so goodbye, then I crashed on my bed. Reminiscing about our conversation.
