"ALRIGHT! We're on the same team! Screw you Keith! Dropout!" Said the Cuban Male turning to the boy with a yellow bandanna over his head. They high fives and did a small cheer.

"Uh, Excuse me? Are you Lance Mcclain?" I asked trying not to be annoying. The Cuban boy turned to me and smiled.

"Yeah, but you can call me your future boyfriend." I rolled my eyes at the pickup line.

"I'm your new Engineer. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too Beautiful, what's your name?"

Again I rolled my eyes,
"Y/n, Y/n L/n."

"Okay, now who in Quiznack is Pidge Gunderson?"

"Right here. That's me." I turned to see a boy with slightly long brown hair, and Hazel eyes. I smiled and walked over to him.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Y/n. Now, you guys wanna go hangout or something?"

"No thanks, I'll pass." Said pidge as he turned to walk away. I frowned slightly but didnt let it bother me. I'll crack him soon...

×××××××That Night×××××××

I couldn't sleep. My brain was crowded by thoughts of Keith and Shiro,

Would I ever find shiro?

Was Keith doing okay without me?

so I decided to take a walk around the building. That was when I saw Pidge running out if his room and heading towards the roof.

what's he up to?

I followed him, when he reached the roof he pulled out a bunch of software and started tinkering away. After a minute or 2 of watching him I walked up to him and tapped his shoulder, he jumped and shot to look at Me. He relaxed when he saw it was just me. "What do you want?"

I smiled, "to know what you're doing"

He rolled his eyes, "Fine. But only if you PROMISE not to tell anyone." He said, staring at me.

"Promise"

He sighed, "I'm building a device to try and scan the solar system." He said quickly. Fear evident in his voice.

"Cool, can I help?" I smirked.

He looked at me warily before saying "Okay." I layed down next to him on the roof.

We talked for a while, until I finally asked, "so what's your backstory?"

"Huh?"

"You don't seem like the type of person to get into garrison just to go to space..."

"Takes one to know one." He smirked. I rolled my eyes and lightly hit him. "Okay, in all seriousness... I'll tell you mine and you tell me yours. Deal?"

"Deal." I said biting my lip. He took a deep breath.

"My brother and dad, they were on the kerberos mission. When the crew disappeared I vowed that I would find them. So I broke In to the Garrison and tried to find information on them. But I was caught and they told me I was never allowed back." My eyes widened but he took another deep breath. He wasn't done.

" so I cut my hair. I put on this fake identity. 'Pidge Gunderson, 19 year old Male.' Heh. More like Katie Holt, 19 year old Female." My eyes widened even more and I hugged her.

"Mines not as shocking... but similar. I know where you're coming from. On the ship with your dad and brother, there was a man named Takashi Shirogane, or Shiro. He was like a dad to me and my brother... Keith Kogane. We vowed to find Shiro one day. Then Keith got kicked out this year... now I'm on my own." I frowned a little, remembering shiro and Keith.

"Why didnt you say anything when Lance mentioned your brother earlier?" Was all pidge said.

"Well... Lance didnt seem like him and Keith were 'Buds' so I didnt wanna make him hate me. I already feel so alone. I dont want to feel more alone." I said nervously.

Pidge smiled, "well not anymore. Now you've got me."

I smiled and we spent afew more hours on the roof. Just talking.

××××Afew Months Later××××

Me and pidge ran to the roof with a backpack each. Mine contained My laptop, a sketchbook and 2 sodas. Hers contained her laptop and the scanner. Once we got to the roof we set up and slid on our headphones. I took a sip of my soda before feeling a hand on my shoulder "You guys come here to rock out?"

"Gah!" I yelled and smacked the arm. When I saw Lance I sighed and slipped off my headphones. "No."

"What's that?" He asked gesturing towards the scanner. "Doesnt look like Garisson tech."

"That's because it isn't. We built it." Pidge said, writing something down in my sketchbook.

"You guys?!"

"Yep" I said popping the P.

"with this, we can scan to the corner of the universe. All the way to kerberos."

"Okay, so what are you doing with the headphones?"

"Picking up alien chatter" I  said calmly.

"Aliens?!" Hunk yelled.

"What are they saying?"lance asked, suddenly interested.

"All I can really pick up on is the word 'Voltron'. they keep repeating it." Said pidge. I looked up and saw something in the corner of my eye.

"Pidge...what's that?" I nervously asked. She looked up.

"Whow...looks like a spaceship of some sort."

"doesnt look like one of ours ..." said lance

Attention,
Cadets must all stay in their bunkers.

This is not a drill.

I heard over the speaker, as the ship crashed. We watched silently as the Garrison vehicles exited the building and headed for the crash site. After afew minutes we looked through some binoculars and there appeared to have been a small tent set up with Garisson troops set guard at the entrance.

"They appear to have set up a security camera in there. If I can just get in... there!" Said pidge as I turned to the screen. What I saw shocked me. Shiro. Tied to a table. Yelling.

"You have to listen! They're coming! Aliens!" He yelled. Your eyes widened as you stood up.

"Whow! That's Takashi Shirogane! Hes like, My hero!" Lance said shocked. "We HAVE to save him."

"Hold your horses." I said "we need a distraction If we are."

I'm not messing up this chance.

Pidge seemed to understand,
"Yeah. Just gotta think of something..." suddenly there were a bunch of explosions.
