Concrit (Constructive Criticism): refers to a specific type of feedback in which polite, helpful suggestions or edits are offered to improve the quality of a story. Concrit is not a flame even though it may contain negative comments as well as positive. The difference is in that the reviewer is providing friendly advice and well-reasoned arguments rather than 'attacking' the author or their work. Concrit can be a very rewarding experience for authors to receive if they are receptive to it, as it is an excellent way to learn and improve their writing skills. However, not all authors want or appreciate concrit, so take care when giving it.
