Always Will.

Laura was in the kitchen while Taylor sat in the living room, pouting. Laura looked over at her girlfriend and let out a chuckle to herself. Taylor is so adorable, Laura thought to herself. Even though Laura knew that she could really use Taylor's help in the kitchen to cook breakfast faster, she wanted to prepare this breakfast all by herself and want to make it special. After all, it was Sarah's birthday. Even though Taylor was upset with Laura, she was amazed by the speed and swiftness with which Laura moved in a kitchen. To watch her girlfriend cook with such smoothness and experience, was actually a turn on for the blonde. Taylor was not upset that Laura basically kicked her out of the kitchen, again, but because Laura was doing all the work, all by herself. And though Taylor would love to lend some help to her girlfriend, she knew that Laura's judgement on this matter was right because she couldn't risk to burn down Laura's house, not after the first one was burned down, so tragically. Also, she didn't wish to ruin Sarah's birthday breakfast.

While Taylor picked up a magazine to read and Laura cooked breakfast for her best friend in the kitchen, they both were lost in their own thoughts. Laura loved Taylor's company and she would love to have her girlfriend by her side, all the time, but she also needed some space to think certain things through. Not that she couldn't talk those things with Taylor, well she could not talk to her girlfriend about herself and Sarah. But Laura liked to think things through alone, without anyone hovering near her. While flipping pancakes, Laura's thoughts went back to the day before the previous day when the four of them sat before the detective and told Katherine all about C and how C had basically ruined their lives.

After talking to the police, Laura offered her friends her house. It was not that Laura didn't love Sarah's house; in fact, it was a lovely house. But after everything that they had been through, that had happened to them or with them because of C, even Detective Bells suggested that moving in a updated and secured security system was for the best. Also, Katherine had provided protective detailing on Laura's house as well, but discreetly so that the presence of the police did not tip C off.

Everyone thought that Katherine would not believe in their stories because that was exactly what to others: stories without proofs. But after seeing the obscene picture and reading the threatening text message, Katherine found herself in no position to doubt them. Moreover, she reasoned that she belonged to the LAPD, the police were supposed to help people in need and she promised to herself and to them that she would do everything in her power to bring Cate's killer and the person who was torturing them to justice. Since the police had to take custody over the photograph and the text message and also keep a close tab on their phones, Lily, before they all left the precinct, stopped and asked Katherine to be very careful.

At that time, Katherine had shrugged Lily's warning without giving much thought at all, but as she sat in her two-bedroom apartment in the darkness and after thinking through all the heinous things done by C, she began to take Lily's suggestion in consideration. If C was as dangerous as they said it to be, Katherine had to be very careful with the manner she handled this very sensitive case because under no circumstances, she could end up dead because it was now Katherine's duty to keep the girls safe and protected.
