I know that I hadn't updated any chapters in the last couple or more days but I was kinda blank and also preparing for my upcoming exams *rolling my eyes right now*.
Moreover, I was trying to lay down the ideas of this book and make sure there was a right direction where the book was going on. Anyway, I finally made myself sit down in front of my laptop, and began to write down everything that formed in my head regarding this story.

Even though I didn't update more than only one chapter, I do hope a long chapter can compensate for that. Anyway, if you enjoy this chapter, don't forget to tap the vote button and give your opinions in the comments sections ;)

Well, Happy Reading, then!

Lots of Love,

XOXO

Laura was standing in front of her burnt house, without moving a muscle. Feeling completely numb. Tears were threatening to fall from her eyes as they stared at her dream house being burnt to a crisp. She had left her home at the age of fifteen to do modelling in Milan and she had worked very hard, in the hopes of getting a better and successful career all by herself. And a part of standing on her own two feet included to get her own dream house. After working as a model and then as an actress, when she finally touched the rims of success, and when she finally was able to buy the perfect house for herself, she was happy with her life. But she also had to see the day when she stood in front of her favorite house and watched it burned to the ground.

Even though her friends and the love of her life were there for Laura, providing her with moral support, Laura felt like she was being sucked into a black hole. When Sarah and Lily looked at Laura, their hearts went to their best friend for they had never seen Laura so hurt and shaken up. The chief fireman made his way towards them and introduced himself as Liam. Liam was in his late-thirties, who had a charismatic smile and a nice built. He slowly removed his hard hat and brought it down, in a way to show some kind of regret towards Laura for losing such a gorgeous house to a menacing fire.

"I am so sorry, Miss Prepon." Liam said, his voice comforting. Everyone nodded towards Liam for his sympathy except Laura. The raven-haired kept staring at her house. "We were able to completely stop the fire, but I am afraid that everything is damaged and gone." Liam was looking emphatically at Laura who wasn't listening to anything or anyone. "Would you like to know the reason behind the cause of fire?" Liam asked softly. Sarah and the others nodded but Laura simply walked away.

Taylor excused herself and followed Laura who went near her car and leaning against her car, she sat down on the ground, hugging her knees closer to her chest. Taylor took a deep breath and she sat beside Laura and draping her right arm over Laura's shoulder, she brought the raven-haired closer to her body. Taylor's heart ached so much for Laura as she had never seen Laura so broken. Laura had been angry before, upset before, and been vulnerable as well. But this time, Laura was a mixture of both being lost and numb. Taylor's body was exuding warmth that calmed Laura's troubling heart but did nothing to stop the pain.

Laura looked up from their embrace and into Taylor's blue eyes. Laura saw nothing but love and worry in Taylor's eyes which made Laura's heart skip a beat. Before either one of them could say anything, Laura broke down in Taylor's arms. Taylor hugged Laura closer to her body, resting her head against Laura's. Taylor kept running a soothing hand over Laura's back, hoping to calm her lover. As Taylor held Laura closer to her body, Taylor had vowed that if she ever got her hands on C, she will make C suffer.
