Luke Hemmings and the rest of his band hopped off the plane and into Japan. 5 Seconds of Summer was in Japan for the Ultra Music Festival and were more than excited to meet some of the artists. They had three days in Japan to explore, perform, and get inspiration for there new album. There were a few performances today but thankfully none of them were 5SOS. Luke wanted to watch a few of them, get a feel for the other people in the industry. While his bandmates were excited to explore what Japan had to offer.

Luke walked into the big performance room in the hotel they were staying in. Already sound checks were taking place. Many of the people in the room were big-name artists. 5 Seconds of Summer themselves were nothing to sneeze at. They had had their fair share of big hits. But most of these people were much more than "a few big hits." Around the room strolled people like Beyonce and Taylor Swift. Luke was taken aback by the amount of talent in one place.

"Hey, Luke!" Calum called to his friend. Calum was the amazingly talented bass player of there band. He could also sing pretty good. The rest of Luke's friends and bandmates had slowly migrated away as Luke had become lost in the crowd.

"Coming!" Luke shouted back rushing to meet his friends. 

The hotel was beautiful. Many large rooms for entertainers and dining halls emitting delicious scents. Luke found himself leaning in to catch another waft. Down the halls, the echoes of different music filled everyone's ears. Luke already knew he would find inspiration here. Just from the ride to the hotel, he had felt the energy. When they explored tonight he knew he would feel it more. In the bright lights and the amazing people, there was no doubt he would have a song. 

The four boys arrived in their room. It was a large common room with four doors leading off to what must have been their bedrooms. A large flat screen sat in the living/common room right in front of a huge couch. It looked perfect for watching movie and songwriting. 

"Looks like we're all set," Ashton chuckled throwing himself on the couch. Calum plopped down beside him as Michael launched himself atop them both.

"Yup!" Michael called as he made his grand leap. 

"You guys are crazy," Luke laughed joining the pile. 

"So what shall we do first?" Ashton asked prying himself from Michael. 

"I want to see some of the artists," Luke suggested.

"Sure," Calum agreed. He was finally out of the grasp of their deranged friend and was straightening out his clothes.

"Then, to the performance hall, we go." All the boys followed Ashton as he followed the sound of music to the hall. It was large and now full of people. Thankfully as artists, the boys had their own seats. They were right in front where they could get the perfect view of the performers. 

Plenty of people went by a hundred different songs ringing through Luke's ears. Some were good, others just weren't his type of music. Finally, all four of the boys were getting restless. It seemed as if they had been sitting for ages. But just before they were about to stand an artist took the stage.
