I drive through Crown Heights, Brooklyn as the new Trouble album plays and the GPA instructs me on where to go. "Your destination should be on the left," the GPA says interrupting the song playing. I look at the big yellow building called the Brooklyn Children's Museum where Sól's second birthday party is being held today. "We used to have our birthday parties at McDonald's and Chuck E. Cheese's, now they're renting out whole museums," I comment while looking for a parking space.

"McDonald's hosts birthday parties?" Desdemona asks from the passenger seat. I hated how these big ass buildings never had a parking lot. I drive down the block looking for an empty space.

"Oh, naw. You really ain't a hood baby if you ain't know that. Those birthday parties used to be jumpin'. You played at the playground for hours and ate happy meals. All my kids having at least one birthday party there." When I find a spot I stop then put my lights on so no one hits me. I put my car in reverse then parallel park into the spot.

"Eh, no. My kids will not be having a birthday party at McDonald's," Desdemona says making me look at her while putting the car in park. She's typing away on her phone with her leg pulled up on the seat. "Do you know what's in McDonald's food? And I'm sure they don't clean those play places. No telling how many germs they have." I could tell she didn't think twice about what she was saying.

"I said MY kids. Do what you want with your kids," I say jokingly making her look at me with a glare. When she hits my arm I laugh. "I was just playing." She does one of those fake laughs with an unamused face making me laugh harder. "I hope you know my granny will be at this party and she will fasho tell you to give me a baby. She thinks because both Glock and Ares are expecting that I should be too."

Desdemona shrugs. "I'm used to it. My mom has been bothering me about babies since I turned 25. She even said I don't have to be married as long as she gets a grandkid. To be honest, I feel the same way. I'm 33, so the clock is ticking. I need to freeze my eggs or something."
