Chapter 8: The Truth

Lily's P.O.V

'OUR GRANDPARENTS ARE ALIVE' I screamed in my head. I looked at the lady with the same eye colour as me. Grandmother Green, but how?

I looked back at Jaque. I am worried about her, we all had cuts and scrapes. But nothing compared to Jaque's injury.

"Your alive!" I heard Fane say.

"Yes, we are and we are going to tell you the truth about yourselves." The orange-eyed lady said.

"First of all, call me grandmother Timberwood, and here is grandmother Green, grandfather White, and grandfather Waters." Grandmother Timberwood said, finishing the introductions.

"What happened to Jaque?" I asked, still staring at my unconscious best friend. Tears silently slipping down my face. Grandmother Green was the one who answered my question.

"Jaque got injured while protecting you three from Logan when you fell unconscious from the convergence you did. She fought him, but she got hit with a shard of ice on her right shoulder. She had massive blood loss, but will be fine. She will wake on her own time."

Next, they told us the story of when we were six and knew everything about our powers and we were all best friends. Until one day, a man called Stephen dark came along and erased our memories of anything related to the elements. We forgot everything, even each other. He caused us to restart our lives. The reason he did that is because we four are the only ones who can stop his evil doings. Now that he has learned the we are reunited and our powers are triggered back. He wants us dead. Joyful right! Not!

"You all must be tired. We will get someone to show you to your rooms." Grandfather White said.

"Wait, where are we?" Sage asked.

"Ah! That's the part we forgot!" Grandmother Waters said. "You are in the house we have lived and survived ever since we found out we could control the elements. We call it The Sanctuary, many people of your age live here. We run the place and help train the teens and help control their talents." Grandmother Waters finished.

We all nodded and realized we will live here from now on. Our parents knew already, the we were led to our rooms. I didn't want to leave Jaque, but they said we need our rest. Soon Jaque would wake and we would tell her the truth.

I layed down in my new bed. My room is beautiful, it is based on earth. Fane's is based on wind and Sage's, water. I guess fire is for Jaque. I close my eyes and darkness takes over.

Fane's P.O.V

I sneak out of my room to the infirmary to see Jaque. I can't bear to see her in pain and I want to be there when she wakes. So much has happened tonight, I found out my grandfather is alive, I am the warrior of wind, and I will be living in a house called The Sanctuary.

I sat beside Jaque's bed and watched her. Her face seemed so peaceful, so, so.....beautiful. I grabbed her hand and fell asleep right beside her, sitting in my chair. Thinking that she will wake tomorrow and know the truth.
