CHAPTER ONE.
"Psyche, are you ready?" My mother whispered to me through the closed bedroom door made of clouds.
She always does that, everyone does when they're trying to speak to me. They would always hide or try to not get caught, which really hurt sometimes, but I'm used to it now.
It's just because I haven't found my Cupid soul mate, is why they keep ignoring me and not treating me as nicely as they did when I was just a mere child who didn't know what love was, until now.
You would think all Cupid's are all sweet and loving, well not this generation I can tell you that. Yes, you heard that right, Cupid's.
I was born in the family of Cupid's and not even that, I'm the first Cupid's great-great-great-granddaughter. Even with that title you would also think I could be royalty to everyone, but no.
I'm the lowest of the low and now I'm banished from Cupid land to live on Earth with the rest of the humans. Even though all Cupid's should be living here in Cupid's land, I'm forced to move out for not falling in love.
I don't really know why I need a soul mate, but for the reason of not finding true love. I can't continue and take over the family business. That's why the Cupid's Elder council has me to transfer my Cupid body for a human body to move on Earth.
Earth, the most dreaded planet underneath us, Cupid's feet. I have nothing against people living on Earth. It's just that, over the years Earth has been destroyed many times now.
I don't exactly know what happened, but many centuries ago, something destruction made Earth to be as it is now, but I don't know what it was that happened. All I know is, all Cupid's Elders will never say anything about it or they would just pass up the subject for another.
I opened my suitcase, and started to pack up my things that humans will find normal. Clothes, jewelry and most importantly, money. Most of my thing's will look like some magically wizardry, so I need to watch what I pack.
This sucks, even right now I'm packing my possessions without any help and that's a lot work considering I'm always spoiled. That's one of the perks of being shunned, whenever I ask for something, they would always give it to because they don't want to have other Cupid's see them with me. Good for me, if not, they would have to pick a fight with me and we all know in the land of Cupid no one wants that happening.
When I checked over the inside of my suitcase full of my stuff, I closed my suitcase up and sat on my cloud bed to relax. I really didn't want to leave my comfy home, but maybe being treated differently on Earth might bring up my mood.
Now I just need a moment to memorize this place before it's all gone from my senses.
"Just a moment!" I yelled back to my mother.
I just wished she was just a regular mother, who treats their own children fairly and sticks up for them, but no. She only cares for popularity, that's also why she picked my father – who is now in the Cupid Elder council – as her true love. But I can see straight through her and know that she doesn't love him at all.
She's just like me, or should I say I'm just like her. I can't find love, but my own mother is such a great actress that she didn't save any of acting gifts to me. She did though, gave me the curse of being unloving.

I looked around the place to see if I had forgotten anything else in my room, and that's when something caught my eye.
There was something gleaming and sparkling in the corner, where my great-great-great-grandfather's old office desk used to be. I had to use his office as a bedroom, if you don't like it, sue me.
Using my Cupid wings, I flew right over to the glowing object and lightly brushed out the remaining clouds hovering above it that covered my view.
It was my great-great-great-grandfather's old bow and arrow's case, and it read: TO THE ONE WHO LOST THEIR LOVE TO ANOTHER
Okay weird, but I opened it anyway. There I found – of course – a bow and arrow. Wow, they look so old, but beautiful. Now I know why ancient artifacts are so valuable, they're just magnificent to have and look at.
I took out the bow and arrow carefully and examined them.
The arrows were made of gold feather's with gold rods and attached to its end are red beautifully sparkled heart shape diamond that has a very and I mean VERY pointy tip.
The bow on the other hand was made magically by angels and fairies, I could tell because fairy dust was shimmering off of it wherever I touched. They were gorgeous.
As I was observing the masterpiece of a Cupid's prized possession, I accidentally dropped the case onto the clouded ground. The case seemed to be holding another object in it when I heard it drop with a *clicking* sound of metal.
I reopened the case and careful roam around the inside to find out the object that made the sound, and I found an old stop watch.
The whole exterior of the stop watch was made of gold – including the chain.
My fingers cautiously wiped off any excess cloud forming on the old watch and quickly clicked a small button on the side that opened it up to reveal the inside.
A genuine modern watch was hidden inside of the gold exterior. I moved it around in my hands, but stopped when I saw a reflection of an arrow through the sunlight. To respond to the arrow, I followed it with my index finger to another button on the top of it.
As curious as I was, I pushed it and then everything around me started to whirl around like a whirlwind.
As curious as I was, I pushed it. Everything around me started to whirl around like a whirlwind and I found myself being sucked into a black hole of some sort, but none of the less it was dark and black.
Suddenly I see a white light in front of me, leading me into another world.
A flash of white rushed to my sight and I was out cold.
