Chapter 2

Lisbon makes a clean get away to her house, hastily removes her shirt and looks in the mirror, twisting to look at her back. She has a ragged scar that goes from her lower back to her middle back in a backwards 'C' shape. The lower part of the scar has reopened and is bleeding badly through her tank top now that it is not contained by a shirt and a thick jacket. Grabbing a towel she presses it against the wound with one hand while searching her restroom for gauze and disinfectant with the other.

To her disappointment the gauze is on the top shelf in the restroom closet but , being Lisbon, she reaches for it anyway completely unaware that Jane has picked the lock on her front door and is making his way to where she is.

He reaches over her and gets the gauze down for her.

"Here."

Lisbon suddenly screams thinking that he's a stranger and Jane instantly hugs her but Lisbon worms her way out of his arms completely flustered that she's standing in front of him wearing a tank top. Fortunately Jane's sole focus is on her fear and the scar.

"I didn't mean to scare you, I'm sorry!"

"Go away Jane get out of my house!"

"But you're bleeding-"

"Get out! Get out! Get out!"

Push comes to shove and she successfully gets him out of the restroom and shuts the door.

Jane blushes deep red once he realizes what just happened and waits awkwardly for her to come out, scared that if he leaves she'll nail him for this later so it's best to get it over with as soon as possible.

"Um...Lisbon...I really didn't mean it like that..."

After a while Lisbon exits the restroom, her face just as red as his is.

"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING BREAKING IN LIKE THAT!? DO YOU NOT REALIZE THE MEANING OF A LOCKED DOOR? I COULD'VE BEEN TAKING A SHOWER!"

Jane is horrified.

"I-I didn't mean to I swear! I just have to talk to you!"

Lisbon crosses her arms and glares at him.

"Out with it then."

"Lisbon. I've been drugged."

There's a flicker of guilt in her eyes as her expression goes from frustration to concern. She knows exactly what is going on but should she stay silent or tell him the truth?
