I looked at Changbin with a confused look and he smiled a little at me. Slowly, I signaled him to follow me in order to escape from this awkward situation.
So, while Tingle was rambling about him being a fairy, we quickly escaped. For the first time, I spent a good time with Changbin. He seemed not that bad, maybe I judged him too fast.

We ran for a while before collapsing on the grass. Changbin was laying next to me, looking at the sky.
« Do you think we're ready...? What if Ganon came back to life quicker than we thought ?? »
Changbin just looked at me and put his head on my shoulder. It was simple, yet it made me relax a bit. And I noticed that Changbin's presence never failed to make me feel better.

Days went by, and I gave up on my powers. It was just a waste of time that we didn't have anyway. Instead, I was trying to focus on the Guardians and the Divine Beasts. At least, if Ganon ever showed itself again, we would be well positioned to defend ourselves. I knew Father would reprimand me if he knew about it, but I did it in secret, with the help of Changbin.
One day, I was practicing with Changbin and the rest of the Champions : Daruk, Mipha, Revali and Urbosa. Each one of them was the pilot of a Divine Beast. And thanks to them, we would be able to defeat Ganon. However, we were still lacking a lot and we were not ready, not yet.
But on that day, fate decided otherwise and suddenly lightings could be heard while a big storm was forming in the new black sky. We all knew, what was going on. Ganon is back.
Without wasting any time, the Champions went to their Divine Beast and got ready to fight. I didn't want to leave. I knew, in some way, I could help them. I had to stay with Changbin. I couldn't leave him to die, I... I couldn't let that happen.

It was raining and we, Changbin and I, were running in the forest, trying to get to Hyrule Castle. Changbin was running in the front, holding my hand tightly and protecting me. But somehow, my forces were all gone. I couldn't do it anymore, and fell on the dirty ground. I fell on my knees and felt the tears filling up my eyes.
« How... »
Changbin went closer to me, and leaned down in front of me.
« How did it come to this ? The Divine Beasts... the Guardians... they've all turned against us... it was... Calamity Ganon. It turned them all against us ! And everyone- Mipha, Urbosa, Revali and Daruk... they're all trapped inside those things... it's all my fault ! Our only hope for defeating Ganon is lost all because I couldn't harness this cursed power ! Everything- everything I've done up until now... it was all for nothing... so I really am just a failure ! All my friends... the entire kingdom... my father most of all... I tried, and I failed them all... I've left them... all to die. »
Changbin listened to me, while I broke down in his arms.

« Changbin, save yourself ! Go ! I'll be fine, don't worry about me ! Run »
But somehow, Changbin didn't listen and the Beast came closer. He was already weak and the Beast was about to kill him. I can't let that happen... not you Changbin.
I put myself in front of Changbin, between him and the Beast. And before realizing anything I put my hand up to the Beast while the Triforce sign appeared on my hand. A strong and powerful light emerged from my hand and destroyed, not only this Beast, but all of them.
« Was... was that...? The power... »
I heard a noise from behind, and when I turned around, I saw Changbin laying down on the floor. I ran to him and held his weak body.
« No, no... Changbin ! Get up ! You're going to be just fine... »
I saw him close his eyes while he took his last breath. I stayed there, crying in the rain, holding Changbin's lifeless body.
Suddenly, I heard something. I looked up and saw a light coming from near him.
« The sword...? So he can... he can still be saved ? »
