Friendly Rivalry (Vegeta x Reader)

(Not So) Nice to See You Again

I don't know sh*t about you, you don't know sh*it about me, you want to take it real slow, but I'm a man you see

I was visiting my fifth planet since I was freed from Frieza's rule, and it was called Earth. It seemed to be a relatively peaceful place, but I felt a large power level coming closer to me, giving me a slight feeling of anxiety. I couldn't help but wonder if my short feeling of peace was going to leave me.

As the power level grew closer and closer to me and my ship, I tried to look and see what was coming, as I knew that this was no ordinary power level. I saw a shadow come closer and closer to me, and it started to create a familiar shape. As the being finally came into view, I felt a smile creep across my face as I simply said, "Well look who it is."

"Let me put this simply, get off of this planet, or face my wrath," my old Saiyan rival, Vegeta said, trying to seem threatening.

I couldn't help but laugh at this pathetic attempt. "I find it hard to believe that you have any wrath for me to face, Vegeta," I said.

Vegeta smirked at me with a cocky expression. "I've kicked your ass before, I'm sure I can do it again, especially because I'm so much stronger," he said.

I decided to get on his nerves and walked past him dismissively. "Whatever, Vegeta, I think I'll just stay on this planet for a while," I said. As I walked, I heard him grumble and storm after me.

"Quit ignoring me, (Y/n)!" he yelled after me. I just looked at him and winked and continued to ignore him. I heard him chuckle. "I guess we're doing this again, aren't we? It's your funeral."

Vegeta and I had basically grown up together under the same conditions. Naturally, we had a constant rivalry over who was stronger. He would win a little more than half the time, but I lived for the times that I would beat him, as seeing him get mad and throw his hissy fits were the moments that I lived for.
