“Babes, you seriously have to stop mourning about Marcus. He told you that he’d come back right?”
Luna nods in agreement and stands up from the dining chair.
“Marcus seems like a good guy, he won’t forget you. Leslie only gets to talk to me once a week but I know that he loves me and the distance doesn’t bother me anymore for I know that we’ll be together someday soon.
You have to focus on something else and distract your mind so you don’t miss him more”
“The problem is… Marcus hasn’t called for five months. A simple text message would be greatly appreciated”
Priya looks at her with sympathy and embraces her. She pats Luna’s back and consoles her.
“I’m better… Thanks babes”
Luna logs in the computer and checks their business’ social media account. She smiles from seeing a lot of great feedbacks from their products and how the locals are recommending their online store. She then checks their business’ email and there it is
“Subject: Bulk Order
Sender: Clara Wellington
Dear Sugar Moon Sweets,
My name is Clara Wellington and I have tasted your amazing goodies from ordering through your website! I really loved them! I hope that I can order a thousand Blueberry Cupcakes for my party in two days. I am prepared to give a fifty percent bonus from the total of the cost if you can make this possible. Please reply as soon as whenever and tell me where to send the down payment to.
Clara”
The girls look at each other feeling enthusiastic from the order that they just received.
“OMG babes! This is so major! This is exactly what you need!”
Luna tries a smile but she still cannot get Marcus’ thoughts wander away from her head. She goes to the bathroom to wash her face.
“Ahh!” she screams.
“Why!?”
“There’s a huge rat that passed by!”
“Awww but they’re cute!”
Luna shakes his head from queasiness and heads back to the dining room. She signals Priya to sit down.
“So… a thousand. Do you think we can do it?”
“Well… It’s due two days right? Since we can bake four dozens in twenty minutes I think it’s possible but we will have to say goodbye to our sleep. Do you think we can handle it?”
Luna looks doubtful. Priya leans closer to her.
“Ok babes… let’s look at it this way… Our Blueberry Cupcakes cost seven bucks a piece and she’s going to order a thousand… That’s gonna be 7,000 dollars and she’s going to give us fifty percent bonus from the total cost giving us 10,500 bucks! We’re crazy not to do it! We can use that as a capital for a real bakeshop!”
Luna looks excited while Priya gives her a smug look.
“Alright! Let’s do it!” Luna exclaims. She turns to her laptop and writes the confirmation to Clara. Minutes after making the deal, the girls are on their way to withdraw the down payment.
“OMG babes! This is the first time I’ve gotten a hold of this amount of money. This is really starting to happen!” Priya gleefully cheers.
“We need to buy a refrigerator, a massive one” she adds.
