Chapter Eight 

(Dipper)

Bill sucks the potion into his fangs and leans towards my neck.

"Ready Pinetree?" He asks.

I nod.

He bites my skin and releases the warm liquid.

I feel the world spin as I black out.

Mindscape-

(Dipper)

I wake up in a gray room.

There's a single door.

It says Awaken.

I open it to see me but...

He's different.

The other me grins at my body.

I panic and slam the door shut, but it bursts open as the duplicate stands over my shaking body.

He stares at me.

"I AM A GOD. I AM WHO YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE. I AM A PATH. I AM YOU FROM ANOTHER TIMELINE. ...I WANT TO SURVIVE."

He kneels next to me.

"PLEASE... BECOME ME."

And with that, he disappears into black smoke.

"Who in the hell was that?" I ask myself.

"A different version of you. One that became corrupted by power and madness. He became that way because of a death. Bill's death. Perhaps you could prevent that death," a small voice says behind me.

I turn to see another  me.

He grins.

"I might be evil. It's hard to tell in this stupid world. But... I am a normal human. No vampire. No nothing. Just another mistake of the universe."

I blink.

So does that mean this version of my chose family over Bill?

"Are you... ok?" I ask.

He grins at me again.

"I get beaten everyday, but... you get used to it... eventually."

He sighs and says, "I'm happy you chose Bill. And yes, I won't exist. I'll disappear like the rest of the other Dippers."

"Wait. Doesn't that mean you'll die?" I ask.

The other me shrugs.

"Yeah... but I'll finally find peace."

He opens the door that hid the evil me.

"See you never."

I reach for him as he closes it behind him.

A few more doors appear.

Each with a different label.

I enter the first door hoping for the best.

Time Skip: Last Door

(Dipper)

I tiredy enter the last door.

I gasp at the familiar figure.

It's the almost Feral me.

"i Won'T DiE... i WiLL bE ReBoRN. i WiLL ExiST. OnE wAY Or AnOTHer..."  It whispers.
