Chapter 15
the raging fire
As Joel got out of bed he went straight to the showers to clean up as he looked into the mirror seeing all the bruises and cuts all over him, remembering very little of the days before events he walks into his room as he gets dressed he starting to cry sitting on his bed , knowing everything he's worked for could just fall apart in these next few days he puts his album on of all love songs he likes which he only listens to when he's sad.
After a few hours he was better, he called a meeting over the intercom they all move to the big room on the end where no one could hear them at all as Joel was walking down the corridor he noticed a dark figure move up to the older team whispering into the leaders ear, things now flying round Joel's head that maybe the enemy is closer to home than he first thought
As he went to act and ask Jon what was going on a strange girl came up "Hi my name is Sally and I'm the new girl ready for action sir" she said " Awwh nice to meet you, oh and I don't do relationships it's not healthy in this place" Joel replied "oh Ok" replied Sally looking him up and down carefully but suddenly walks off with Joel ahead of her showing her the way to the big room as she walks in Joel turns round and sees a figure watching him as he goes to see the figure they ran by the time Joel reached the figures position they were gone.
As he went back in the big room he started the talk "we all know what happened right, well personally I'm abit groggy about it but I think I know it all" he nervously said " since lee has been kidnapped we need to find out how and where they are" said Steph "leave it to me I'll think about it oh and watch out there's someone watching us all" said Joel seriously " now you two get to know our new inturn" he added
as they were talking to her the figure appears again and watching them closely like they did with Joel but no one noticed this time. Sally reveled that she is new in town and that her father works in the town now everyone was now suspicious as they continued talking to her a note came for Joel, he looked around trying to find who sent it but no one was there, the note read :
Don't trust the new girl she's a spy trust me
at that moment Reese came in and said " I don't like her and can't trust her" " Awwh so it was you who sent the note" Joel replied what note I didn't send any note" "then who did?" they both watched both Steph and Sally talking together and both walked out together to the girls as they did another note came but this one was from black mouth and it said:
you want your boy back come get him at the park now
Joel told Reese and Steph get the equipment whilst he toke Sally to get her equipment and they set off into the world as they ran round the streets Joel asks "Sally where does you dad work?" "he's an odd job man sir" she replied as they reached the park it was beautiful untouched by war or destruction by it might change they thought they were alone until black mouth and his men popped up and black mouth stared at them all and said " a life for a life" then he put lee up "Joel's death for your friend lee" he added "cone here hun you can't miss this" "who's he calling hun" asked Reese looking puzzled until a voice said "Ok dad" then Sally walked forward and next to her dad everyone was too transfixed on the gun, black mouth had in his hand which he lifted and aimed at Joel
"this looks my final day for all of us nice to of worked with you guys" he said with tears in his eyes but as black mouth was about to shoot a helicopter came racing round and everyone started to watch
