'I'm so happy,' Quinn said as she plopped down on the plush leather couch. Her eyes gave held a special shine, telling of the joy she felt. They'd just returned from a visit to the doctor's who had confirmed what Quinn all ready knew; she was six weeks pregnant.

Jesse looked over at his wife and smiled. Quinn practically glowed, she radiated a sense of peace and it made her appear so much more beautiful. He walked over to the couch and took a seat.

'I'm happy too Quinn,' he smiled, giving her a loving look. 'This is the best possible Christmas gift ever.' Jesse had to admit that at first he'd been a little scared at the prospect of becoming a dad but after the doctor had talked them through their questions and concerns, his fears had slowly dissipated only to be replaced with happiness. He was going to be a dad!

'It is,' she grinned. 'I can't wait to tell all our friends.'

'You think that's a good idea? Shouldn't we wait a little longer?'

'Why wait Jesse? I want to share this joy with my friends and family.'

'So do I and we can do whatever you want.' He smiled again, pulling her into a hug. They stayed like that for a few moments, then he gently let her go and lowered his head.

'Hey in there,' he said in awe, touching her stomach all most reverently. Quinn looked down at the man who had given her this gift. The way he spoke so tenderly brought tears of joy to her eyes and she smiled softly.

Jesse continued to talk to her middle. 'Your mummy and daddy are so glad you're on your way. We all ready love you so much, and we haven't even met you yet,' he laughed softly. Then he put his mouth to her flat stomach, kissing it gently. The simple gesture caused Quinn to cry more than she all ready was.

He heard her soft sobs and hugged her to him. 'What's wrong sweetie?' he asked stroking her hair.

'Nothing,' she sniffled against his shirt. 'These are tears of joy, can't you tell?' Quinn smiled and gave him a kiss.

Wiping away the tears, she grinned. 'How about we invite Rachel and Santana for dinner tomorrow night? But we won't tell them why. I want to surprise them.'

Jesse laughed. 'Then Santana will go into her protective mode and not let you do anything for nine months.'

'That's Santana for you. I know her and Rachel will be so happy for us.'

'They will Quinn.'

'Plus this is a good chance to get Rachel to start going out more. After what's she's been through, Rachel needs to get out more. Start to regain a sense of normalcy.'

'Yeah,' Jesse sighed. 'But it won't be easy. I've never seen her this way before. It's like she's clammed up and won't let anyone in.'

'Give her time. She needs it to heal. And Jesse she's not alone. She has us and Santana, her parents, people that love her. We're going to help her through this.'

He smiled at Quinn. 'You're right. Rachel will always count on us to stand beside her.'

It'd been a couple of days since Finn had left. Rachel sat cross-legged on her bed thinking about the man with the amber eyes. She thought about him a lot these days. The truth was she missed him. She missed having Finn around. Her house felt empty without him here, and sometimes she expected she'd walk into the living room and find him throwing logs into her fire.

After the storm had abated, he'd called his friend Puck to come and get him. Rachel had insisted that she could give him a lift, but he'd refused saying that the roads were still really icy, plus he didn't want her to go through anymore trouble for him. She'd told him it was no trouble, but he'd been stubborn and said it was fine for Puck to pick him up.
