Calum smiled when he looked down and I had it on then went back to having an arm around my waist.  “My turn… okay what was going through when I kissed you?” he asked his voice a little smaller “I thought… ‘yay he kissed me finally’” I said smiling leaning into him slightly my head on his shoulder. “Wanna sit?” he asked pointing over to a small bench that overlooked the duck pond where several ducks were diving under the water than bobbing back up, “but the seat is wet” I whined “so what? Don’t want to get your butt wet?” he teased sitting down on the bench raising and eyebrow. I shook my head and he rolled his head back and patted his lap for me to sit on, I smiled and sat down then he wrapped his arms around my waist resting his head on my arm.

“Okay what did you think when you kissed me?” I asked looking at him and leaning back a little so he could see the duck bond too “I thought ‘shit is she going to kiss me back… oh she is! Good’” he said laughing “I sound like a girl” he groaned and began drumming his fingers on my hip bone. “Okay what about when I left how did you feel then?” I asked, he scrunched up his face and hid it in the sleeve of the jumper “hurt” he answered and I felt a shot of quilt in my stomach, but what he did to me was worse.

“Is that why you ripped the necklace off my neck?” I asked feeling a bit of unreleased anger in my stomach, he sighed and looked back up at me with those dark chocolate eyes that I’ve grown to love so much “I was hurt that you were leaving without giving an explanation, I don’t know I’m sorry” he answered “The way I displayed it was pretty shitty ayy?” he asked and I nodded agreeing with him. “Okay your turn… how did you feel?” he asked and I laughed because this is starting to sound like session with Luke back at the Asylum “hurt” I answered wiggling my feet around in the air. He nodded and placed a small kiss on my shoulder “Raven I hate to kill this mood we got going on here but you got a bony ass” he said and I laughed standing up and taking his hand in mine.

“Okay so what else do you wanna talk about?” I asked as we began to leave the duck pond and walk around “anything” he answered bringing me into his side again. We walked around in silence and just began talking about absolute nonsense in the rain that was starting to get heavier our conversations started to get stupider.

“Yeah, but if we were to throw a dog off the top floor of the building, why wouldn’t it land on its feet like a cat?” Calum asked his clothes and hair sticking to his body due to the rain fall.

“Because they don’t have the same skeleton I think? I don’t know why are you asking me?” I asked laughing, he pouted and shrugged “I’ll test my theory out with Cass” he teased and I gasped pushing him making him slip and fall on his ass. “Not my dog!” I exclaimed smiling, I didn’t mean for him to fall but he just sat there laughing then stood up towering over me “you have 10 seconds to run and hide Merrick” he said covering his eyes with his hand “you’re really going to play hide and seek with me in the pouring rain?” I asked.

“One-Two-Three” he began and I thought ‘fuck it’ and began to run. By the time Calum had finished counting I was hiding behind a tree that was just a few meters away from where he was standing. “Okay ready or not here I come!” he shouted and uncovered his eyes and looked around and spotted me at the tree “really? That’s such a sucky hiding spot!” he shouted making his way over, I smiled and began running away hoping he wouldn’t run after me but alas I was wrong.

I screamed as we ran through the park like a couple of dorks playing tips in the park in the freezing rain. We have been playing for a solid 10 minutes and now Calum is once again ’It’ and I was hiding behind a different tree because where else would there be to hide in a park?
