I was so exited! It was time for me to introduce my boyfriend, Luke to my parents, they could be really strict and I just hoped he'd see how sweet he was and how much I loved him.

"You ready, babe?" I ask him when we got out of school and went to his car, ready to go to my place and introduce him to my mom and dad.

"To be honest, no, I'm fucking scared" He looked at me with a frown on his face, he was the sweetest guy ever, I really, really, really hoped my parents could see that.

"Don't worry, I'm sure they'll love you" I lied, didn't know if I was reassuring him or myself.

"I hope so"

We got to my home pretty quickly to my dismay, why couldn't we take forever to arrive, I was excited and nervous at the same time, all I could do was hope that it'd be okay.

"Mom, dad, I'm home!" I shouted once I'd gotten in, I told Luke to wait outside until I talked to them and he agreed, giving me a quick yet sweet kiss before pushing me inside my house.

"Hi, honey. How was your day?" My mom asked after greeting me with a small kiss in the cheek.

"Very good mom, actually I wanted you to meet someone" I opened the door and let Luke in, taking him by the arm and leaning my head on his shoulder.

"Mom, dad, this is Luke, my boyfriend" There was a short but vey awkward silence while we waited for my parents to say something, but since the didn't, Luke, being the gentleman he is, broke the silence.

"Hi mister and misses Marlartt, pleasure to meet you both" He extended his hand signaling them for a handshake but neither of them did.

"Sorry, son, but I do not approve your relationship" My dad said coldly and tactlessly. I knew this was gonna happen, god, I hate my parents sometimes, they're so judgmental, this was about the piercing, I was sure about it

"Why dad? Because he has a piercing? Wow, you don't even know him and you're judging him without having held a single conversation with him" I was so mad at him, he was always like that, just a single detail that he didn't like made it 'wrong and inappropiate'.

"Yes, darling, it is the piercing, no decent person uses that kind of... Stuff" the way my father said the word 'stuff' like it was a disgusting thing in the world made me even angrier than I already was.

"You know what, dad? Screw you, I love him and I don't care if you don't approve it" I said, taking Luke by the hand and heading to the door.

"You could do so much better, Nikki!" I heard him shout, but I just didn't care what he thought, Luke was perfect for me, it was his problem if he didn't see that.

We got back to the car and I looked at my boyfriend for the first time since I made the mistake of introducing him to my parents and what I saw was heartbreaking, he looked so sad and was trying to hold back tears and failed entirely when I looked at him.

I took him in my arms and rubbed his back until he calmed down, damn my dad for making him feel like this.

"Lukey, honey, you are perfect, it doesn't matter what my father says" I tell him reassuringly once he'd calmed down a bit.

"B-but h-he's right N-nikk-ki" It breaks my heart that he actually thinks that the asshole I call father.

"Babe, no, you are perfect, everything I've ever wanted, my dad's a hypocrite, he's always told be that I must never judge anyone before knowing them, that prejudice is ignorance, yet, see what he did to you. Don't believe what he said for a second" I say kissing him, not giving him a chance to reply, I just wanted him to feel better and talking about my father wouldn't make it better for any of us.
