38. Fall Down

Sinundan naman ni Nate ang aking tingin at napadako ang tingin nito kay Cayden who's now looking at us.

"Who's he?" Naitanong pa ni Nate.

"I-I don't know." Naisagot ko na lang rito.

"He's staring too much especially to you. I don't like him." Saad ni Nate and I feel his muscle tensed.

Kinabahan naman ako dahil baka hindi pa kami nakakapasok sa loob ay may mangyari ng hindi maganda.

"Hahaha! He might just be curious about my dress." Sagot ko na lang rito kahit gusto ko ng pandilatan si Cayden pero hindi ko na magawang tumingin dito dahil nakatuon na ang atensyon ni Nate sa amin.

Ngumisi naman ito. "Probably. You're the most beautiful girl in here tonight. I shouldn't wonder." Sagot na lang nito at nakahinga na ako ng maluwag.

"Senator Velasquez." Tawag ng receptionist at naglakad na nga kami papasok sa entrance ng underground.

It was quite dark but carpeted and it was stairs pababa. I touched my earrings attached with GPS tracker to activate it. Now Misha will be able to manipulate and see the blueprint of the area.

Narating na namin ang auction room. It was actually like an auditorium. There is a stage, red curtains seats and prominent people sitting.

"Here is your number senator." Saad naman ng usherettes at ibinigay ang isang number na may holder. Maybe this will be used for the bidding. Tinanggap naman iyon ni Nate.

"This will be our identification in the bidding. Let's now take a seat." Saad nito sa akin at hinila na ako at umupo kami sa may bandang gitna. The seats are really like in an auditorium. Feeling ko parang manonood ako ng isang opera.

"I never knew there is something like this in this area." Komento ko. I was scanning the whole place and corners. I saw atleast seven CCTV cameras in the area and there are men in black as well with stern looking faces who's like a statue standing.

"This came out into a surprise but there are way more than this." Sagot naman nito sa akin. He was looking at me like I was the only person existing in the area. I felt uncomfortable because of his gaze but it did not take that long because it was broken when someone seated beside me and intentionally brushed my arms.

Napalingon ako rito at halos malaglag naman ang panga ako ng makita ko kung sino ito. It's Cayden! Now that he's sitting beside me it made everything worst! Paano kung bigla itong magkalat dahil kay Nate? I know he's jealous. I am not dumb not to notice it with his grim expression earlier. And even at the Starbucks. There is already a manifestation of jealousy and I do really hope that Cayden would not act carelessly. He knows that this is just a job. I hope he will keep that in mind and keep his shit.

"Excuse me, may I know your name?" Narinig kong tanong ni Nate. Napatingin ako rito and to my surprise he was looking at Cayden! Kaya mabilis pa sa alas cuatro na napatingin ako rito and Cayden is not smiling at all! He is in his usual stoic and void expression!

"None of your business." He just answered with a blunt tone and then he diverted his gaze to the stage.

"Ahh..." tanging naisaad ni Nate and I saw how his forehead creased. It's obvious. He's annoyed with Cayden. But to my surprise he did not counter Cayden! Bigla pa naman akong kinabahan dahil baka magkasagutan pa ang dalawa!

I almost facepalmed but I acted like nothing happened. Like there is no tension at all. Like I am just in a park, having a seat to clear my mind out. But heck Cayden's fabric keeps on brushing on my left arm and it drives me back to reality.

"There will be rare items that will be auctioned. Tell me what would you like and I'll take it for you." Saad pa ni Nate sa akin and I swear to god. I heard something cracked. "What was that?" Nagtatakang tanong ni Nate na narinig din pala niya ang tunog.
