I walk back to my apartment feeling the guilt run through my body.

All he wanted to do was get to know me.

Yet being the stubborn person I am I totally shut him out.

But it's not fully my fault.

I like being alone. No. I love being alone.

I don't have time for friends. That's why I don't have any.

I need to focus on me and my career. Not people.

I sigh as I pull up the velvet covers to my chest.

I start thinking about if Grayson will be at the cafe tomorrow. Even after how horribly I treated him.

I at least want to say sorry before we never see each other again.

I'll find a new coffee shop. I do not need friends.

Grayson makes it hard for me. He's so loving and precious it's hard to not be his friend.

Most people just learn to leave me alone but he won't.

My eyes start to get heavy as the room gets even more darker than it already was.

I'm sorry Grayson.

I wake up and throw on a t shirt along with sweatpants.

I start debating whether or not to go to the cafe.

I do not want to bump into Thalia. She obviously doesn't like me.

As much as I want to be friends with her she pushes me away.

I walk on the cold wooden floor towards the kitchen.

I spot my dog running up to me.

"Hey lil' guy!" I exclaim bending down for him to lick my face.

I let out a giggle and get back up and start walking towards the fridge.

I pull out some raw bacon and eggs.

Ethan always has hated my cooking.

I bet he misses it now.
_______
I finish my breakfast and pull out my black high top vans from my closet.

I slip into them as I grab my phone and keys.

My Uber is already downstairs.

I decided to go to the cafe.

Let's hope it goes well.

I wait patiently for Grayson as I sit in the corner.

I hear the bell ring as my eyes dart to the door.

I feel the ends of my lips rise from smiling.

Yikes. I haven't smiled in so long.

He orders his hot chocolate and pays the cashier five dollars.

I wait for him to notice me but instead he walks out the door.

"Shoot" I say under my breath.

I push in my chair as I jog towards him.

I tap on his shoulder and as he turns around he shoots me a glare.

oops.

"Hi, um, I'm- I" I stutter looking down.

He scoffs and starts walking away.

"Grayson wait!" I practically yell causing him to turn around.

"I'm sorry" I barely let out.

"What?" He asks with an eyebrow raised.

"I'm sorry" I mumble looking up to his eyes.

The sunset that's shining in his eyes makes his eyes look more hazel then they ever were before.

His cheeks turn pink as he smiles. He turns around from me seeing him blush.

cute.

"It's okay, but why do you push me away?" He says looking back up to my eyes.

"Um, I like being alone" I respond.

"Why's that?" He asks tilting his head.

"My family has never had time for me. I had to do everything myself, I didn't have anyone to turn to. I only had myself." I say remembering my family that I've never thought of in a while.

"I've always been alone, I'm used to it" I say with a shrug.

"I'm sorry" he says with a sympathetic look.

"It's fine" I say with yet another shrug.

Grayson and I have been talking a lot. I've gotten to know a lot about this kid.

I like calling him kid even though he's one year older than me.

He came from New Jersey and he has two siblings.

He told me he used to make vines and YouTube videos with his twin.

I've told him about me as well.

His only responses he would say were always 'I'm sorry' or 'I'm so sorry'.

It got tiring after a while but I appreciate him feeling bad for me.

I'm still not to sure about this 'friend thing' but I'll try.

"Do you want me to drop you back off?" He asks.

"Mhm" I hum in response.

"thank you" I mumble.

He smiles at me. "Of course".
_______

Grayson dropped me back off at my apartment.

He was practically begging for my number, I gave it to him.

This is my first time opening up.

I'm scared.

I get interrupted by a notification on my phone.

grayson: goodnight x
