Chapter I: A Not So Normal Day

BLAKE

I was in the dorm when I heard a bark and I froze up. I glanced to notice Ruby's dog, Zwei. I took a few steps to the left of me before I went onto Ruby's bed, to hide from Zwei.

"Shoo." I waved my hand dismissively to dismiss Zwei but he came towards the bed and sat down. I groaned a bit.

This is going to be bad... I thought, before Ruby came in luckily.

"Zwei! Guess what I got you!" She carried a box and Zwei barked, excitedly, heading over towards Ruby. She was carrying a box that was looking pretty heavy but also probably wasn't. She walked to Weiss' bed and set it down on the floor. Zwei's tail was wagging back and forth in excitement.

"What's in there?" I asked, curiously. Ruby grinned as she looked at me.

"You shall see, my friend." Ruby said, before taking out a knife and cutting the tape that sealed the box. When she opened it, there were dog toys and some dog food. Ruby took out one of the toys.

"Here's Mr. Squeakers for ya, Zwei!" Ruby said, excitedly and I stared at her, in confusion at the name, since it turned out to be a squeaky cat that looked like a Siamese. Zwei barked in excitement and Ruby threw the toy and Zwei jumped up, catching it.

"Mr. Squeakers?" Ruby grinned.

"Yup. Zwei's favorite toy since he was a pup." Yang said as she just entered the room.

NEIKO

I was walking around London with a ribbon around my cat ears. I was wearing a brown hood and I wore it over my ears. The bow was for extra precaution. I sighed and pulled it more over where my eyes would be. Mainly cause I was majorly self-conscious of them.

I couldn't catch a break from having my ears made fun of at all. I got into an alley and leaned against the wall before sighing and sitting on the ground while still leaning against the wall.

I eventually took off my hood and put a hand on it. I decided I needed to find some food now, so I walked to the edge of the alley, putting my hood back on. I walked through the crowd and as I walked, I searched around for a bit.

I wasn't looking for anything in particular, but I felt like I was... I just didn't know what it was I was looking for. I heard thuds in the alley ahead of me, making me yelp a bjt in surprise and curiously, I walked towards it, cautiously.

When I got there, I found six unconcious people and a dog that seemed unconcious as well. J blinked a couple times in curiosity before taking in what they looked like.

There were four girls and two boys. Starting with the girls, there was a girl with short black hair with red tips and wearing some sort of odd clothing like the others. Next was a white haired girl with her hair in a side ponytail and she had a scar ovdr an eye while the third girl had long wavy-ish blonde hair and the last girl caught my attention the most. Se had long black hair wkth purple highlights at the tip of her hair. Oh, and cat ears, like me.

Going onto the boys, one had blond hair and the other had blue hair with lighter blue at the ends of his hair and goggles on his head. The dog was black with a white underbelly though.

I then noticed something strange about the blond boy. At closer inspection, there was a tail on him. I blinked in surprise as I walked up a bit closer before tugging on the tail briefly befire swiftly hiding again.

I decided to do something I'm not so sure that my father would appreciate, but I figured that these people had nowhere to go, so I started carefully taking them to my home nearby.
