"What a surprise!" I said sarcastically as we pulled into his driveway.

What a bitch!

Eli chuckled before getting out of the car. When I copied his actions, he sighed saying, "you know I was supposed to come around and open the door for you, but it seems like you have your own plans."

I hid my face as I felt my cheeks redden, I'm such an idiot!

The elephants running around in my stomach returned when Eli reached for my hand to pull me through his house. "Why are we here?" I laughed as I spoke, it seemed like he was in such a rush.

"You'll see," he said without looking back at me.

When he opened the door to the backyard, my mouth dropped. There was a huge sheet laid on the grass with a couple of board games on it and some snacks. Against the back wall of his house there was another sheet, that was white, with what looked like Christmas lights around the edges underneath of it. It was really a beautiful sight to see.

"Wow. It looks beautiful back here!" I was in awe of how awesome the whole thing was.

Eli smiled, "I'm glad you like it, I ordered from Pizza Box. It should be here soon." He pointed to the sheet on the ground before continuing, "make yourself comfortable and pick a game to play while we wait for the pizza. I'll be right back."

I made my way to look at the games Eli picked out, while he went back inside his house. After a few minutes I had chosen Candyland, it was one of my favorites as a kid.

When Eli returned, he had a handful of movies in his hands, most of which were old school Disney. He instructed me to pick a couple before placing them in front of me. After looking through my options I picked two of my favorites: Hercules and Toy Story. I showed Eli my picks and he walked away with the two DVDs.

A bright light illuminated the sheet hanging from the wall of the house and I concluded that I was an idiot for not realizing that it was being used as our movie screen. Eli returned, and the movie started.

The whole night was amazing. I was having so much fun spending time with Eli, watching movies, making jokes, and eating pizza from the best place around. My brain was against me the whole time, but I was trying my best to ignore it. I wanted to have fun for once! I could have fun while keeping my guard up. No, I can't.

Shut up!

Currently we were playing The Game of Life and were in the middle of our first movie, which was Toy Story. Eli had chosen the fun path in life and was an "entertainer," while I had decided to go to college to become a doctor. He constantly made jokes about our lifestyle choices and was succeeding in making me laugh. When we finished our game, we focused on watching the rest of the movie before doing anything else.

"Okay, so even though in the game you went to college and became a doctor. What is, or do you want your to be, your major?" Eli questioned, as the credits for Toy Story rolled.

"Entertainment Tech. I've always loved the idea of being involved in the process of putting on a show, of any kind, and being behind the scenes and involved in the crazy life of live entertainment. What about you?"

"I'm not sure yet. I'm kind of just cruising along until I figure it out. I love playing basketball and I hope that can get me somewhere, but I know realistically that might not happen. So I might try for something in the sports business. I also love playing music, any kind of music. But my favorite to play is classical," he said nonchalantly. "But that's pretty cool. I've never met someone who's had an interest in something like that. It's really unique. Where do you see yourself in, like, five years with that?"
