It has been three weeks after Stoick died and Hiccup became chief. Astrid has been helping Hiccup so he could grieve over his fathers death and Hiccup is beginning to come out of hes shell again. That's when things all changed for Astrid.
As soon as Hiccup and Astrid left to the house I was staying at an idea popped into my mind even though I don't know her that well I could tell the fact she might not be able to marry Hiccup for awhile bugged her.
" Hey mom." I spoke " You know how Astrid and Hiccup are waiting betrothed."
" Yes why do I feel like you have something planned." Mom said
" Since I have a plan. I was thinking we could give them a surprise wedding because they won't be able to have one on Berk til the problem is gone." I said smiling
" That sounds like a great idea it might make them feel more at home if they are able to have a wedding that is similar to those on Berk." Mom said
" How do we do that we know nothing about Berk weddings." I almost screamed when someone knocked
" Hey Valka are you sure he wont find her?" Mom questioned as she opened the door
" Yes why else would I be back. Also Ash you have someone who knows Berk weddings right here now I was the viking union officiator before I was carried away." Valka laughed a bit " Luckily I had to train another person for my union."
" So would it make them actually married then?" I asked
" Yes and since he is the chief if I am the one who did the wedding or union what ever you wanna call it." Valka said
" Is there any way we could do it tomorrow it is not like we get to see people get hitched in other ways than ours." I spoke excitedly
" Alright. We are gonna need the event hall decorated in the style of Berk Since Toothless and Stormfly see Berk every day and are used to Heather she should have them help her." Valka said looking at Heather
"Ok I am on it I will tell them that I am gonna take the two dragons to visit Windshear. I'll make sure they won't tell them about it." Heather said as she ran out of the house
" Ash your gonna need to come with me so we can use you as a reference for a dress for her that is blue and is similar to what is the traditional wear there." Valka said
" AW COME ON WHY DO I HAVE TO!" I said annoyed
" Well since you want this to be a surprise to them we need to get them clothes for it."
Time Skip
Valka POV
" Well now that we got everything we need as well as a new outfit for you to wear to the surprise you should go get some rest. Heather is done so she will be heading home soon." I said as Ash nodded and went home
" Hey I am done." Heather spoke while yawning with the three dragons beside her
" That's good you should get sleep too like your sister. I need to give this to them so they have it tomorrow." I said
" Since your heading over there could you drop off their dragons I would but I am really tired."Heather said almost falling over
" Sure rest well. Come on Toothless and Stormfly lets go to Hiccup and Astrid." I said as the two dragons walked over to my side " Since I don't know which house they are at you two will have to lead me there."
With that we started to make our way over to home for how ever long they will be staying here
Time skip again
Astrid POV
When I woke up Hiccup was gone and there was a blue dress with a note on top of the dress. I laid in bed for a bit before I heard a know shortly followed by the door opening.
" Astrid are you up yet?" Heather spoke loudly
" Yes I basically just woke up." I started while siting up " Why are you two dressed up?"
" We have something planned for today get on the dress as well as the wedges and meet us outside." Heather said walking out of the house with Ash

I managed to get on the dress before fixing my hair and trying to figure out how to put on the wedges. After a few minutes I finally got on the wedges and went outside to try to figure out what was going on.
" Alright what are you up to?" I asked as the two girls began walking towards the building that resembles the great hall
" You'll see soon enough." Ash said as she blindfolded me as she sat me on a Thunderdrum
Slight Time Skip
As soon as they allowed me to get up they removed both Hiccup's and my blindfolds
" What is this?" Hiccup asked as I was shocked and trying to steady myself again
" Well there is a lot you don't know about me Hiccup but" Valka started gesturing to Ash " She thought it might make it easier for you two to get used to being here if they gave you a surprise viking union."
" Ok I really don't know what to say." Hiccup said looking at me
" Well they went through all this hard work for us Hiccup." I said smiling
" Wouldn't we need to do this all over again if we did this now though?" Hiccup asked striking a really good question
" No you won't Hiccup I was the viking union officiator on Berk I trained the one you guys knew before Tuff made him jump off a cliff." Valka spoke " So what you say Hiccup?"
When she finished Hiccup nodded
" Alright Valka we should get started." Annabel said as Ash looked at us excitedly
Valka nodded
" Ye, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third, child of Odin, dost taketh Astrid Hofferson, daughter of Freyja, to be his betrothed. And, by utterance of these words, this union may only be broken in the Halls of Valhalla." Valka said as Hiccup pulled me over and kissed me
" Mom didn't we miss a part of the ceremony." Hiccup asked
" Yeah had to change it up so we could keep it a surprise for you two." Heather said laughing
" Ok then can I take off these they are really uncomfortable." I groaned
