Chapter 49

" Of course."

" Are you willing to protect and fight for your kingdom?"

" I am willing."

" Will you make sure you won't let your people down?"

" I'll do my very best."

" Finally, do you think you're really, really ready to be the new Queen of the Heart Kingdom."

She wasn't expecting this question so she was silent for a while and looked up to meet her mother's gaze who softly smiled at her.

She took a deep breath and looked back up at North.

" Why wouldn't I be?" she replied confidently, sending a few cheers across the hall.

North smiled and then turned to her mother.

" Alright, Queen M/N... are you willing to hand down your kingdom to your daughter, Princess Y/N?"

" With all my heart, yes."

" Do you think she will be a good queen?"

" I am worried I am too sure about it."

Everyone laughed.

" Do you think she's ready?"

" I have a feeling that tells me she's ready for everything because she's my daughter."

Y/N smiled.

" Lastly, do you think you had made the right decision of handing your kingdom to Y/N so soon, changing your title from Queen of the Heart Kingdom to Lady of the Heart Kingdom?"

" Again, with all my heart, yes. I know I did."

" And I hereby announce, Queen Y/N Hearts of the Heart Kingdom is now the new queen to the Heart Kingdom!" April announced and everyone cheered as they did for Manny while the now Lady M/N took out the beautiful crown and placed it on her daughter's head before placing a kiss on both her daughter's cheeks and hugging her.

As they went down the stage and went to the others, they were all having big smiles on their faces.

" Congratulations, Y/N!" they all chanted, making Y/N's cheeks flushed.

" For the final throning, we will be having Pegasus MiM come up to the stage please for the throning of Queen Pegasus as the new queen of the Jewel Kingdom," April announced and this time all eyes were fixated on Pegasus.

Manny and Jack Dark gave her hands a little squeeze before the winged girl followed Odielta up the stage. Like Y/N and Manny, she was told to kneel down and again, Pumpkin came and clipped the microphones on and then brought a small glass box before handing it to Odielta who took it and smiled at Pegasus.

" The celebration will begin," April announced.

North cleared his throat before beginning with the questions that were asked to Y/N and Manny.

" Do you think you will lead your kingdom like how a real queen would?"

" I'll give my best."

" Will you put in effort to make your kingdom a better place?"

" Definitely."

" Are you willing to protect and fight for your kingdom?"

" Like how I will protect my loved ones."

" Will you make sure you won't let your people down?"

" I'll do my best I can do."

" Last one, since the Jewel Kingdom is actually an abandoned kingdom because of no heir... are you willing to take the responsibility to rebuild and renew the kingdom?"

" What kind of question is that? Of course I am willing." she replied jokingly and they all chuckled.

North nodded approvingly then turned to Odielta.

" There is only one question for you. Do you think your daughter is ready and are you willing to let your daughter be the queen of the Jewel Kingdom?"

" Yes and yes and yes and yes and yes... and that's the end of it," Odielta replied cheerfully.

" Coolio. Now here we have with us the new queen of The Jewel Kingdom, Queen Pegasus!" the audience applauded again while Odielta took out a small bluish jewel shaped like a teardrop the size of a green pea from the small glass box and gently pressing the jewel onto her daughter's forehead.

The jewel seemed to have permanently stuck to her skin somehow by magic and she stood up before pulling her mother into a hug. Odielta kept on chanting the words "I'm so proud of you" again and again like a mantra, even after they had went down the stage and joined the rest.

Hazelia rushed to her, amazed by the jewel glued to her forehead.

" You look like a... jewel." Jack Dark commented, coming to stand in front of her as he slowly reached out a hand and touched the jewel on his stepsister's forehead.

" The jewel suits you," Hazelia added.

" Okay, so I'm sure the clapping and cheering are tiring you guys so we're gonna have a short break while I searched for a glass of water because I'm telling you, my throat is killing me. I'm sure it goes the same for North, eh?" April said, making the audience laughed.

She soon disappeared from the stage along with Pumpkin while North joined the other guardians.

Y/N and the rest also fell into a conversation, discussing about the excitement of the ceremonies and teasing each other while their parents talked to each other as well.

After a few minutes, April and Pumpkin along with North went up the stage again as April cleared her throat into the microphone, making everyone silent and watched her.

" Okay, so there's gonna be a little fangirling later on because well, we're celebrating the bond of our favourite ship! So, Queen Y/N Hearts and Guardian Jack Frost, do come up the stage now."

Jack Dark whistled, Hazelia teased, Pegasus cheered, Rapunzel and Anna jumped up and down, Hiccup laughed, and Merida rolled her eyes while the parents gave Y/N and Jack a knowing look.

Hazelia: No, Author Aura. That's your dramatic attempt of making a cliffhanger, and you're failing it badly.

Me: Oh, shush, Hazel. That hurts.

Hazelia: Well, you've hurt me more.

Me: Don't talk to me, I'm not gonna talk to you for today *sulks*
