Chapter 49

" Okay, Hazelia. One last question. Will you take back the Moon Kingdom and become the ruler one day if by chance?"

" Probably? Who knows? I mean, if Manny doesn't mind by that time..."

" Of course I don't. It rightfully belongs to you," Manny interrupted her.

" Then it's settled. Manny, the Man in Moon, is now the King of Moon Kingdom!" April exclaimed, making everyone applauded.

Hazelia turned to Pumpkin beside her and asked her to hold the glass box before opening the lid and taking it out so gently, as it might break if she held it roughly.

She slowly walked in front of Manny and placed the crown on top of his head, smiling proudly along the way. Manny stood up and engulfed her in a hug, like how a father would do to a daughter. The action touched her heart so much that she thought she might cry again but she told herself she had enough of tears for the day and wanted to celebrate it with laughs.

So she giggled while hugging him back.

North gave out a jolly laugh before joining the hug as well which made Hazelia laughed even more. Though it seemed weird, everyone knew that Hazelia had longed for a fatherly figure by her side since she had never really met her father, only getting to know him from the stories that were told by others.

" Scratch that, look at me now. I have two fathers." she joked and hugged North back as well.

Everyone laughed.

Meanwhile, among the audience, Y/N looked at Hazelia feeling a lot happy for no reason when she saw the happy face of Hazelia, knowing Hazelia was feeling loved by the people around her.

Loved.

Love. Her specialty.

Maybe that's why Y/N was happy for no reason. She continued applauding as they went down the stage before joining her and the rest. Manny came to stand between Odielta and Pegasus while Hazelia stood between her mother and Jack Dark.

Y/N watched as Mrs. Moon hugged Hazelia tightly and when they pulled away, Jack Dark wrapped an arm around her shoulder as he smiled down at her.

Y/N can't helped but smile to herself at the two, how much they had changed after they had came back from their journey.

" Now it's time for Princess Y/N Hearts along with her mother, the soon-to-be former Queen M/N of Hearts Kingdom to come up this stage to celebrate the throning of Queen Y/N as the new Queen of the Hearts Kingdom," April's voice suddenly snapped her out of her thoughts, making her heart pounding like it's trying to break free from inside.

" Come on, my shiny star." her mother softly led her away not before seeing her friends sending her big thumbs up.

She followed her mother, fiddling with her fingers nervously as they finally came up on stage and she was told to knelt down on the ground like Manny had. Pumpkin came and clipped the microphones on both Y/N and M/N before going away and coming back again with a glass box similar to the one Hazelia held. But this time, the crown was smaller and it sparkled even brighter when it was hit by a source of light. It was fully studded with red and pink crystals shaped into a heart. Y/N couldn't helped but stared at it in awe.

" The celebration will begin," April announced.

Y/N looked up at North and the questions were the same as Manny's ones.

" Do you think you will lead your kingdom like how a real queen would?"

" I will."

" Will you put in effort to make your kingdom a better place?"
