Die.
Like a broken record the word kept on ringing in Ara's ears , each syllable pulling her soul a bit by bit. Then all of a sudden something tightened around her waist like a slippery serpent, forcing Ara to flung her eyes open and look at her surrounding.
For a moment Ara couldn't grasp where she was. Everything seemed so blue, so bright that she was quite sure that this must be heaven. Big glossy bubbles floated everywhere, while some burst whenever they went higher. She was so engrossed in the unearthly beauty that she didn't notice the shiny, crispy material being tightened around her body.
"Die"
Immediately Ara's reverie broke, and then she looked at the tiny metallic creatures, that stood before her like an army of soldiers.
Ara gasped.
One of the fishes that stood in the front wriggled it's tail and swam towards her, holding a toothpick in its fin.
"Cover her fast! "
It commanded in its shrill voice and at the same time, Ara wheezed. The four turtles wrapped the perdurable plastic around her waist as tightly as possible.
"St-op.. " Ara groaned.
The fish leader, raised a scale which kind of looked like an eyebrow.
"Did you stop, when you were throwing plastic in the ocean? "
Ara looked at him queerly. "Bring those here!"
All it took was a single powerful command to make the marine army scurry everywhere in the silky water.
Sea horses marched-swam towards her carrying humongous plastic bags on their backs, while their tails
Carried tiny objects which looked like toothpicks and candy wrappers.
Ara's eyes widened and she gulped nervously.
The fish leader looked at her stoically. " You've been throwing these in our ocean for the past four days, right? "
Ara's lips quivered, "I'm sorry -"
"Will sorry make everything alright? " the fish leader shouted, " Will it bring back the eggs that died, the fishes who got injured when they got stuck to these plastic monsters?! "
"I didn't know-"
"Fellow Turtles cover her up with these blasted plastic, and make sure she suffers the same faith, as those other idiotic men, who had dared to litter our ocean! "
"Wait I had be-been sightseeing and i-i just threw it absentminded-"
The turtles swam around her and tightened more sheets of plastic.
"STOP! " but Ara's voice drowned in the echoes of angry mothers who had lost their eggs and marine creatures who would never see their friends again.
"Die die die! "
"Die die die! "
While Ara struggled within the plastic walls, she kept on remembering the same words,
'Oh god why did I throw them in the water ! Why? why? '
In the dark and deep ocean, slowly died the girl who had made the mistake of harming nature.
