Aaliyah Pov~ I woke up excited and ready to walk that stage.
I went downstairs to see my mom crying looking at a photo album.
"You okay mama?" I asked
"Yes, I just can't believe my baby girl graduating, and soon will be living the nest"
I laughed.
"Look at my baby singing, you remember this?"

"Yes, it's the first time I realized I could sing" I smiled.
"Yep, I was so proud of you then, and even more now"
I smiled.
5 hours later
I was in the car with Merlin on our way to the graduation.
"I can't believe we graduating it seems like just yesterday we were just meeting" I said.
"Yea it's so crazy, high school flies so fast"
We made it to the schools auditorium and was ready to take our ticket to the real world.
We saw Brandy and Hakeem talking and smiling. Reagan broke up with Hakeem, and Brandy broke up with Q, because Q wanted to pursue his rap career. The whole crew was here, even Meagan and Jennifer. To let everyone know me and Brandy made up and became best friends again.
"To bad we can't all sit by each other, they doing it by alphabetical order, of course by last names" Antwon said.
"Yea, he could all walked on the stage together" Meagan said.
"All I know, I'll be walking the stage with my sister and cousin, The Santana Way" Merlin said making everybody laugh.
"Let's all promise that we'll remain friends forever" Tatyana said.
"Hell yeah, forever" Tyrin said.
"Forever" Larenz said.
"Forever" Brandon said
"Forever" Brandy said
"Forever" Paul said.
"Forever" Kelly said
"Forever" Reagan said
"Forever" Hakeem said
"Forever" Merlin said
"Forever" Meagan said
"Forever" Antwon said
"Forever" Jennifer said
"Forever" Charlotte said
"Forever" I said smiling
"Y'all gone make me ruin my make up" Charlotte said.
We all hugged and joked around until the graduation ceremony started.
45 minutes later
We were all sitting in the seats we were assigned during graduation rehearsal. Our principal, counselor, assistant principal, and some teachers spoke before calling names. Brandon and Tatyana were gonna be the first ones to get their diplomas, since their last names start with an A. They started calling names and Brandon was the 4th one called.
"Brandon Adams" They announced on the mic.
A lot of people cheered including Tatyana and Merlin being the loudest. His mom had a special made shirt saying "I Beat Cancer and He beat High School". They started calling other names and next was Tatyana.
"Tatyana Ali" They announced.
Her family cheered and put up their posters. No one in the crew last name started with a B, so I wanted for the C's.
"Hakeem Campbell" They announced
People clapped and cheered.
D's and E's last names passed.
Jennifer Freeman" they announced.
Her family cheered her named and blew a whistle. The graduation started going extremely fast to me.
"Meagan Good"
Her family was ghetto fabulous, I love that so much. Next up was me, my row stood up and walked to the stage.
"Aaliyah Haughton"
People cheered, but the #1 person I heard was Merlin.
"That's my baby" Merlin yelled.
I smiled as a tear fell down my face.
After me Kelly and Brandy got their diplomas.
"Charlotte Santana" They announced. (loud cheer)
"Merlin Santana"
A lot of people cheered for Merlin.
"I LOVE YOU BABY" I screamed.
"Reagan Santana"
"THE SANTANA WAY" Somebody screamed.
A couple students later
"Antwon Tanner"
"THEIR YOU GO ANTWON" his mom yelled.
"Larenz Tate"
"COMPTON IN THE HOUSE!!" Somebody yelled
Next up was Tyrin.
"Tyrin Turner" They announced
His family cheered and stood up.
They were almost done and it was one last person left in the crew.
"Paul Walker"
His family cheered.
"WE LOVE YOU PAUL"
20 minutes later
"THIS IS THE CLASS OF 1999" the principal said as we threw our caps in the air.
I caught my hat and ran to my boyfriend. He caught me and kissed me.
