Why me? Chapter 1.

"Why me?" Elle asked her French bulldog, Sunny. "Why am I the one with no one left?" Elle questions again. Both Elle's parents have both been gone for a long time, Her mom, Alayna, passed away a year ago in a car accident. Elle's dad, Jamie, was in the war. He had been missing for about 2 or 3 years. Elle kept telling herself "he is not dead, he is still out there" but the thought kept getting the best of her. Reese, is Elles little sister, she was put into foster care after the accident, but Elle went with her aunt Alisha. Alisha and Elle have been trying to get Reese out but they just can't, the foster care unit told Elle's aunt Alisha, that the only way Reese would get out before she is 18, would be if Jamie came back, which after 2 or 3 years? Probably isn't going to happen. But Alisha knew not to mention anything like that to Elle. Elle threw her fawn brown hair into a messy bun and whipped on some makeup, but as soon as she looked at her makeup bag, it reminded her of Reese. Elle used to always give Reese 'makeovers'.
