Callie's POV
2 months later

it's been a while.

it's always been harder keeping myself from not talking to my family. luckily, today is family and friends day. i've gotten way closer with Daphne, and another girl named Carmen. it's been easier staying here. Daphne, Carmen, and I are one of the head people.

"are you excited to see that man of yours?" daphne asks as she sets down the table cloth with me "yeah, I am. we never really got to spend much time as a couple since some girl at my school plants those drugs on me the morning after" she shakes her head

"i'll beat that girl up for you" she smiles

"no you won't" Rita yells and we laugh

we put out all the snacks and I see some of the new girls just sitting around "get up and help" I say to them and they give me stank looks "says who" I laugh "me, who else?" she gets up and Daphne puts down her gloves "who do you think you're stepping up too?" the girl backs away and rolls her eyes.

we finish our chores and Rita gathers everyone into the living room "now you're families and friends will be here in under 30 minutes. make sure to be on your best behavior and make sure to look nice" she smiles and we all spread out going to put on some nice clothes "Carmen" I yell and she walks in looking all nice "who you dressing up for?" we laugh "my boo" we widen our eyes and I turn around "hows this?" I say gesturing to my red and white crop top, with blue jeans. "cute" I look over at daphne and she has a blue plaid flannel on. "that's cute." I say and she throw a shirt at me. "what did I do?" she laughs and we all hear the doorbell ring "here comes the drama" I nod and we all walk downstairs.

"Callie, your family is here" carmen and daphne give me warming smiles and I turn around "do I look okay?" they roll their eyes "get your skinny white ass over to your family before I beat it" Carmen says and I run over. I see Jude first and I immediately hug him "I missed you" he hugs me tightly and I look at him "I missed you too" I let go of our hug and I hug my moms. "I missed you guys so much" they smile and kiss my cheeks "we've missed you. the house is so quiet without you and jesus bickering at each other" I laugh and I see Brandon waiting there "Brandon" he hugs me tightly and we rock back and forth " how are you?" I look down "i'm good. it was rough but it's getting better" he gives me a warming smile and I see Jesus "my favorite weirdo!" he yells and crushes me into a hug "I missed picking on someone" I smile "me too." I see mariana and she hesitates to hug me. "hey m" I smile and bring her into a hug "it's not your fault i'm in here" she shakes her head "yes it is. if I never started doing it. you've would've been home with us" I shake my head "this was good for me" she smiles and walks away

corbyn now stands in front of me. he smiles and I feel those butterflies again, the ones that invade my belly. my cheeks turn a bright red and I smile brightly. "hi corbyn" I smile and he hugs me tightly. I let go of a breath I didn't think I was holding in for so long. "I missed not being able to hug you everyday. not being able to kiss or just look at you" I look up at him "I miss you way more." he looks down at me and places a longing kiss to my lips. one that i've never felt before. you can feel the love and worth into the kiss. after we break from our kiss, I walk him around the house basically explaining to him the chores we have to do and such.

"hey callie!" carmen and daphne yell.

they walk over and smile at me widely.

"this my boyfriend corbyn. corbyn this daphne and carmen" I say gesturing between the three. he shakes their hands and daphne hits me with her hip

"he's cute callie!" she coos and walks always with carmen laughing.

"i'm so flattered" he laughs kissing my forehead.

"I can't wait for you to come home" he mumbles.

"me neither. as much as I love those two girls, I have never wanted to go back to a foster home so bad" I laugh.
