Taehyung sat down on the king size bed he and his lover, Jeongguk, shared. His eyes were puffy, his soft tanned skin painted with a red rose shade; he had been crying for the past 15 minutes.
Broken vase pieces, broken glasses and broken beer bottles took place on the wet, slippery floor. Yes, the couple had a fight, and for that Taehyung blamed himself, when it wasn't even his fault. The glasses and the vase were thrown on the wall by him, yes, but it wasn't his fault. Jeongguk, his Jeongguk, made a terrible mistake, which got Taehyung's blood boiling in his veins, anger taking control of his fragile body, leading him to the mentioned actions.
So what if we had a fight? We always fight, it's no big deal.. I'll apologize, like I always do.. We'll go back to being happy. Of course. Of course..
Thought Taehyung as he brought his knees to his chest. His watery eyes narrowed to his lover, whom was sitting at the corner of the room, covering his eyes and whispering nonetheless.
"Jeongguk I-" Taehyung stopped as soon as he parted his lips, Jeongguk's glance making him freeze in place. "Don't, Taehyung, don't.." Said Jeongguk while standing up, making his way next to Taehyung. A deep sigh escaped the younger's lips as he pulled his lover to his chest. "Don't say anything, just don't. I don't want to hear it. Sorry won't work, love, this isn't working either.." Jeongguk whispered, making Taehyung whimper at his words. "It will work, Ggukie, it will.. Please, please don't say it won't. I apologize, I didn't mean to, please forgive me.." Begged Taehyung, gaining yet another sigh from his lover.
"Kim Taehyung." Jeongguk inhaled deeply, "It's not your fault. I made a terrible mistake, I cheated on you, I don't deserve your forgiveness. And.. This won't work.. Are you that blind? If I was happy, like this, with you, I wouldn't have done what I did. But I did it, and I'm not happy.." he continued, biting his lower lip, his only lip.
"P-please.. Don't leave me.. I love you so much, I.. I can't live without y-you.. Don't you love me anymore?" Said Taehyung through broken sobs, his hands tugging tightly on the hem of Jeongguk's shirt. "Taehyung.. I used to love you too, but now.. My feelings aren't mutual anymore, my feelings have faded. Maybe it wasn't meant for us to be together, maybe fate brought us to this very moment, where we should turn the page and start a new life, yeah?"
"No, no, no.. I don't want to, I won't be able to move on.. Please Ggukie, give me another chance.." Taehyung demanded, brokenly crying on the other's shoulder. "I'm sorry, Tahyung. It's for the best." Jeongguk whispered, pushing Taehyung's hands away, somewhat harshly, to then stand up and walk to the closet. Taehyung looked at him shocked, his lover was packing his things, was he really doing this? Yes, he was. He was going to ask Taehyung to get out, or even worse, throw him out.
Jeongguk turned to Taehyung and handed him the bag full of clothes and other items that belonged to the blonde male. "Please, Taehyung-ah, get out.." Jeongguk said with a serious, cold tone, having Taehyung shiver once again.
"You used to call me Taehyung-ah when we weren't close. When we were only strangers to each-other.. How did we come to this day, love?" Taehyung whimpered, not able to cry anymore, his tears dried out, he felt numb, as if he died in that vedy moment. Jeongguk only looked away, throwing the bag to the person he once had feelings for, to the person he once loved more than himself.
"We can still be friends." Jeongguk said, his brown orbs glancing at the stranger he once called his. "Saying 'we can still be friends' is like saying 'the dog is dead but we can still keep it', Jeon Jeongguk." Taehyung whimpered and ran out of that cursed house, out of the house he built his sweetes memories and experienced his worst nightmares. He ran, not looking back, not caring if the other followed, he just ran, to nowhere.
The rain was now turning into a storm, the blonde male had stopped running. He glanced around, panting heavily as if he ran in a marathon, which he perhaps did. He was lost, lost in his thoughts, loat in the big city, lost forever.
Taehyung took his phone out, delaying hia best friends number and pressing his phone against his ear. He ran his fingers through his wet locks, anxiously waiting for the other to pick up the phone. "Hello? Taehyung?" Was heard on the other side of the line, making Taehyung uncontrollably burst in tears. "J-Jimin.. Jeongguk and I, there's no longer an us.." He cried out, clutching his chest tightly. "Where are you? I'll come get you." Jimin said, a concerned tone in his voice. Taehyung kept crying, whimpering out the address and soon ending the call. He sat down on the side pf the road, hugging his knees tightly, careless of the rain.
Soon, a car stopped in front of him, his best friend walking out of the vehicle and running towrds him. Jimin wrapped his arms around Taehyung into a warm embrace, letting the aforementioned cry on his shoulder. "How did this happen Taehyung..?" Jimin asked, earning low, broken whimpers. "Let's go home, Tae." He said, helping his friend up and to his car, placing hos jacket over the other's shoulders.
