"you're too cute when you're trying to sound serious and mature yukhei," jungwoo giggled, showing his boyfriend his post.
the younger blushed, "i'm really serious about it okay ! i haven't really forgiven myself for what i did."
"i know," jungwoo said quietly as he put his phone down.
he shifted closer to the taller on the couch and connected his lips with yukhei's.
the kiss didn't last long, but it was full of gratitude and love. a kiss from someone who had already forgiven the other, a long time ago.
they pulled apart, though only slightly. jungwoo had his eyes trained on the other, but yukhei looked down in guilt.
"baby, look at me," jungwoo said, his voice gentle but firm.
slowly, yukhei lifted his gaze to meet the older's.
"i've forgiven you, so you can let it go too," jungwoo whispered, smiling at the boy before him.
yukhei only nodded, returning the smile gratefully.
"everything's okay now," jungwoo pulled the younger into his arms, pecking his forehead and carding his fingers through yukhei's hair soothingly.
yukhei placed his head on jungwoo's shoulder, embracing him tightly as he said the words that were better than any form of apology,
"i love you."
"love you too," came the soft but sure reply, "i love you so, so much."
yukhei's heart soared at the answer.
even though it wasn't anything special, it made him feel fearless, like he could do anything in the world, like he had absolutely nothing to be afraid of and nothing to lose.
because not only was jungwoo with him physicallyㅡ even his heart was.
and yukhei knew.
he was definitely in love with this beautiful human being in his arms.
he'll never be in doubt again.

throughout this story, the characters learn about the importance of trust in a relationship. not only trusting their significant other(s) but most importantly, to have trust in themselves, and in what they feel.
because nothing matters more than feelings when it comes to love, and your heart know them best.
so when you start to doubt what your heart tells you, dont.
