Chapter 10

"What?!"
Hana turned her head to Mira, then to Minghao, then again to Mira.

"Why would she do that? Stop lyin-"

She knew he wasn't lying.
After everything she went through she wouldn't dare to doubt anything from his words. He was the only one who knew what was actually going on.

She trusted him and was counting on him to save her, even though they were strangers.

"Why you ask? Well..it is because of Mingyu but you can not blame him. He broke up with her that day and she went crazy, I don't know the details since I never got the change to talk to him after their break up and we were not so close. When I found his body I tried to contact you but she was already in our house...".

"Mira is not someone who would do something like this! She can not even kill a fly.."

She knew her friend better than anyone, it was hard to believe and accept it.

"Don't think bad of her.. She is indeed a nice and kind person, but later in the future she changes. And I can not allow her to hurt you, I am here for that purpose" the boy said and looked at her.

"At this age I was a member of a gang, I had friends murderers and drug dealers but until now I never killed anyone with my hands. They use me only for fights  were I can use my martial arts freely, I don't like weapons. But if I remember right I used to fight a lot with my "comrades". I got suspicious they would turn against me. I left everything behind and started a new life only for your sake ", he smiled at her.

"So we do get married in the future..?" she felt awkward and looked away , her cheeks got pink.

"Yes we do!" he noticed that she got embarrassed so he continued.

"I contacted them every morning and asked them to kill Mira, they are the ones in the white car. But this idea was the biggest mistake of mine. They agreed but they were obviously planning  on killing me too".

"Couldn't you just not call them? You returned so many times.."

"That's the worst part. After some returns I returned some minutes after I called them. Even if I tried to cancel it I couldn't find them, I was so stupid.. I swore that I will protect you and I failed again and again and again.. We are dying all the time because of me, forgive me.. " he said and touched Hana's hand with his.

She didn't know how to react, he was a stranger to her.
The boy didn't expect her to answer so he continued.

"When you two were leaving the cafe I used to follow Mira waiting for my "friends" to do the job. They succeeded everytime so as soon as I made sure she was dead I was rushing to your place to check on you. But you were always lying dead on the ground a few meters away from your house. The first time I saw you like this I felt as if-"

He stopped and took a deep breath from his mouth, his eyes started getting red.

"I felt so broken..I had the chance to save you and I failed so hard!"

His hands started shaking.

"I was alone. I didn't know how to continue my life without you, so I ran to my house and...
I am such a coward "

Hana was sitting there, once again speechless.

The boy commited suicide because of her.

She felt bad and looked away.

"But then.. I woke up in my bed. It felt as if everything was a dream in the beginning"

She felt that way too.

"I repeated the same actions but you were still getting killed. I knew Mira would die for sure. I decided to follow you and I saw two guys grabbing you and either stabbing you to death or shooting you. But I was always so late! Even if I knocked them out they would still find a way to kill you! I noticed that after a while you seemed to understand that something bad was about to happen to you. You acted differently, just like me when I tried to change the future. Then you came to me but I wouldn't talk to you. I didn't know what to say to you. I was useless, a big failure." he lowered his gaze and looked sad but there were no tears.

"But you were trying! You were there for me everytime and I had no idea why.. Thank you" she smiled at him but he didn't see her face.

"However!" he changed his mood again.

"One thing I don't understand is why are you regaining memories from them previous times..What if Mira starts to remember too? This is a problem. "

"Why? We could just explain things to her-"

"What are you talking about? I told you that I am here to kill her. "
Minghao gave her a strict look.
