"Minjoo! Minjoo!" Eunkwang called to Minjoo as she entered the restaurant. Minjoo thought:I can't believe I'm dating this guy. She bravely put on a smile. "Hello, Eunkwang-Oppa." Minjoo said with a voice that could melt all men.
"I'm glad you came. Usually, when I ask girls out they don't come."
"Hahahaha." Minjoo couldn't help but laugh as she remembered having second thoughts in coming. "What's funny?" Asked Eunkwang, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Wait. You're not joking?" Minjoo asked, trying to lighten up the mood as she noticed the awkwardness in Eunkwang's tone. "Nope, not at all." He replied then turned serious .
Minjoo composed herself. She is worried that she might have offended Eunkwang. "Let's eat?"
They ate in silence, until Eunkwang decided to break the tension. "Let's have bingsu right after this." He suggested. He is thinking of bringing Minjoo to the cafe where he first met her.
Minjoo replied with a faint smile. She hoped it would be a different cafe other than the cafe where they both first met. It was supposed to be her favorite place. She and N always went there. But then that cafe became a bad memory for her. It was the place where N broke up with her. She frequently visits the place after their break-up, hoping to find N there. Sadly, it never happened.
Looking at Eunkwang from across her, she made up her mind to agree with Eunkwang's plan. He drove down a few blocks. Once they were there, Eunkwang couldn't help but notice Minjoo's face filled with sadness. "Minjoo, are you okay?" He asked , taking her hand into his. Minjoo sighed. She made a choice to be fully honest with him. " Oppa, I have a confession. This is where my ex-boyfriend broke up with me. The same day when I first met you." She couldn't meet his eyes.
He fell silent for a moment, remembering that day when he first saw her. She was seated in the corner of the cafe, crying. He does not believe in love at first sight. But there is something about her ... "Why don't you move on?" He thought momentarily. "Instead, why not be my lady?"
Minjoo finally looked into his eyes. She studied his features to see if he was trying to be funny. He is always making her laugh.
Eunkwang is nothing like N. He looks average compared to N's handsome looks. He is about her height which make him short, unlike N who is tall. But Eunkwang is funny. He never fails to make her smile. He is very hardworking, while N..... Broke her heart, choosing his career over her.
"I'd love to." She answered him with a sweet and sincere smile. She decided to finally move on and start a new beginning with him.
He could hardly believe that the beautiful girl in front of him agreed to be with him. This is the happiest day of his life.
