Frozen Fire And The Lost Friendship

Prologue

It is my birthday today and I am going to be turning eight years old at Midnight when there is a full moon. "Happy birthday BFF!" My best friend shouted behind me, she has red hair with blue eyes and freckles that shows her personality often. She is generous, kind, and sweet, but must of all crazy just like me, but the only thing we don't have in common is when she gets angry easily, when most of the time I am cool.

"Hey Esme, aren't you excited?! The full moon is shining bright like always, and the snow as cold as always." Esme turns eight when there is a meteoroid blazing through the Garavoia atmosphere.

Me and Esme have noticed, from along time ago that the white fluffy snow, and the white full moon as well as the meteroid passing through on our birthday all the time. Including when the sky is a bright orange sunset. It's like it's a way of gifting us something. As if we are destined to have it, but a secret.

As BFF's we kept this a secret, even though it's not much. Esme is wearing a red glossy sleeveless dress, where as I am wearing a black dress with blue trims on the neck v-line and on the outside, with a short sleeve, but it is also glittery. "Don't forget about your present," she says, as she hands me mine. I used my magic to show up her red box covered in flames with a red bow, and mine is wrapped in black with ice and a blue bow. 

We always wrap it like this, as a way of showing our relevant powers on things. We both open our presents at the same time. Esme's present is a bracelet with all the things I love about, her with a bee, because they are very busy animals, and Esme is always busy organising things. She can be quite OCD about things at time. There is also a meteoroid rock symbolising the random activity we get on our birthday. It also has a flame, and most of it is then covered with red bow's and flowers. I even have my own bracelet but in blue, with a moon, snowflake, blue bow, blue flowers. "It's a BFF bracelet, so we never lose each other," I told her, and she smiled. 

Then the present that Esme got me is a two broken heart necklace piece. Inside it has a picture of Esme, and Emse has the other part which has my picture in. "So if we get lost, then we will always be together," she explained. 

"A rule, we should never lose our bracelet and our necklace, and if we do, we will never be BFF's again, because it can only work if we have kept something so important to us through our lives," she told me. I didn't really understand why we wouldn't be friends anymore if we lost a bracelet or a necklace, but I didn't say anything as I thought that I would never lose my necklace or my bracelet. 

We gave each other a hug. Then we both turn round to the big eight squared window, shining out with the full moon, but at the other end is the sun as it starts to rise up. It was so beautiful as the castle we are in is high up on the mountain that we can see the sun on the left and the moon on the right. When they both got aligned, the sun got lighter and the moon got darker. But both our eyes sparkled through the shimmering stars. 

"Wish our lives could always be like this," Esme said, knowing that some day, we will break apart. "So do I, it's so relaxing and beautiful. Beyond all the war and the history of the many fights that Firewood has, it's always nice to find peace in words beyond our mind," I said to her.

We grew silent, as we cherished this moment, as the sun grew stronger, as red orange sky flares up. Both of our black and red hair with our blue and green eyes take sync of the scenery.

However in that moment, we saw something dark between the sun and the moon. It looked like a black object but we couldn't make it. But it was so quick and strong that it smashed the window, we both screamed but we both ran back away, towards the back of the Firewood Castle wall. The wall is cream with floral patterns. We are in the living room, while the King and Queen are speaking business with our parents.

The object was a rock, but it soon changed into a Giant Black Hornet. The creature had red eyes, and it was looking at us hungrily. We both ran out of the room while it chased us. "Mum, Dad, help!!" I shouted out. Esme was holding my hand, "don't let go."

The hallway has a grey carpet, with white walls. However, the creature shot it's poisonous snot at me, which I fell. Esme also fell over with me, but she wasn't in the snot. She tried to take it off me, but it was burning her hands, "no!! Don't!!" I told her. I saw our parents and the Royals with guards running towards us.

"JADE!! ESME!!" But the big creature whacked his tail at Esme sending her towards a wall hard knocking her out. 

"NO!!" I shouted, "ESME!" her parents shouted, as her Mother crouches down to her. The guards begin to try and attack the creature, but they got spiked into the back dead. It then had too other companions which is the same species. I tried to climb out of the goo, but he sent another goo around me, it was starting to burn and itch my skin. My parents was going to burst out ice while the Royals burst out either fire or ice. "Let her go!!" The King demanded.

The creature roared, as it picks me up with it's sharp teeth. "MUMMY!!" I shouted out crying. They all began to shoot there magic, but it was too late. They were so fast that they sent me round the corner, but I could still see them as they were getting smaller. But I saw my parents, Esme parents and the Royals being burned by a dark figure behind them with loud screams.
