Thankfully, I didn't have to worry about going to work for the next week. Angie, however had to go back to work so I didn't have any to keep me company. I woke up to a wildy buzzing phone. I quickly picked it up to calm it down and my notifications were filled with texts from Danny. Who knew?

8:50am : "Aye Kay, want to go for a drink tonight, just you and I?"

8:55am: "How about we go see a film?"

9:10am: "Please save me from my own bordem?"

I groaned but couldn't help but smile. I was starting to see him more as a good friend than a sexy Irish man with an insane amount of talent and money who I love more than anything.

"Okay, Dan. Where do you want to meet up?", I replied.

"Don't worry, i'll pick you up soon xx", he said almost instantly.

Oh Jesus. Soon is not a good thing! I scurried into the shower, threw my hair back into the a pony tail, and picked out a pair of black skinny jeans with a white knitted sweater and combat boots. The doorbell rang and I knew it was him.

"Hey Dan!", I said, ushering him inside.

"Hi love. Looking well today!".

I blushed a little. He towered over me with a smile on his gentle face. I couldn't help but look at his fit body, and the scattered chest hair he had peeking through his v-neck top.

"Thanks! So what do you want to do?".

Danny gave me a wink, took my hand, and lead me outiside down the long path that I live on. I was pretty confused, yet on cloud nine with my hand being held by his. In and around 15 minutes of walking, we were faced to a small, rusty shack like building tucked away in the back of the city. He gave me a really excited grin and opened the door with a key he dug out of his pocket. He ushered me in, and I was immediatly stunned by a beautiful set up before me.

It was pretty dim in there. There were lights strung around the floor, forming a nice spacious box. Inside the box sat a stool with a microphone on it. It was beautiful, really. He tugged on my pony tail playfully.

"Dan.. This is amazing!", I told him.

He pulled me over to the stool and sat me down, planting the microphone in my hands and turned it on for me. I got really nervous. He obviously remembered the conversation we had about music during our little get together. I'm so bad at singing, even though I love it. He sat down on the floor with a guitar that was leaning against the wall before and started to strum.

"Alright Kay, we're here because I want to hear you sing really badly. Like, a full blown song with a good tune. With a microphone".

"I'm no good. I told you", I whined.

"Pick a song. One you're comfortable with singing, and just lose yourself in it".

"Misguided Ghosts by Paramore", I said finally.

"Easy, light, slow, I like it. Let's do this".

"1-2, 1-2-3-4"

The guitar was so beautiful. I watched Danny relax into the song. I got ready to begin to sing.

"I'm going away for a while

But I'll be back, don't try and follow me
'Cause I'll return as soon as possible

See, I'm trying to find my place
But it might not be here where I feel safe
We all learn to make mistakes

And run from them, from them
With no direction
We'll run from them, from them
With no conviction".

Dan looked at me with amazement, at least I think it was amazement. He continued to strum away at his guitar and smiled at me, nodding with approval. I felt a bit more confident, but not by much. At least it was only him and I in the room and he was the mentor for me to follow after. We finished the song a bit later and he started clapping for me.

"Kay, that was serioulsly so beautiful. You've got a gift that you're still not realizing you have. You have potential in the music business. You have so much potential to grow and get somewhere in this life and I am going to be there with you every step of the way".

My chest fluttered and I felt my face redden. Did he really think I could get somewhere? Hell, I don't even believe in myself a tiny bit.

"Danny.. Thank you. It sounded bad though. Even though that song is one I am really comfortable with, singing it, or any song for that matter, doesn't come naturally to me like it does to you", I said, feeling as if I should have just been quiet and grateful. He rolled his eyes at me and gave me a tight hug. My favorite kind of hug.

"How about we sing a song together? One we both know. Pick your favorite song in the whole wide world", Dan said. I nodded and thought about it for a second. My favorite song in the whole wide world is Before The Worst.

I hummed the introduction to Before The Worst and he quickly caught on. We sang the entire song together and he pulled me up to dance in the middle of it. We acted as if we were preforming the song in front of thousands of people. He seemed like he was in his element. He never took his eyes off of me and I never took my eyes of Danny. There's just something about him that I can't seem to get over..

We flopped down on the floor in exhaustion and fell into a fit of giggles. Danny put me under his arm and ruffled my hair. "You're a star", he told me and laughed again. I couldn't do anything but smile, Paralyzed by his perfection.
