⚠There is a revamp to this story called, "Man of Steel: Loving Mia Jones"⚠
Mia Jones is a reporter from Central City that moves to Metropolis for a fresh start. She is assign to work along the side of Clark Kent. Little does she know that he is the...
Mia was in her room packing her things getting ready to move out of her parents' house she been living in ever since she graduate from college. She was going to move to a new city called Metropolis to get a brand new start on her life and career. Mia had went and gotten a job at the Daily Planet after she had quit her former job Central City Picture News. Also, in hopes of meeting Superman because she was a huge fan of his. She had seen her favorite superhero on the news all the time along with their on cities hero the Flash.
After she was done packing she looked around her old room thinking about how she is going to miss this place. Her thoughts were interrupted by her mother calling her down stairs.
Mia grabbed her things and made her way down stairs to see her mother setting breakfast down on the table. While her father was sitting there reading his newspaper along with drinking his coffee. Mia sat down and began to eat her pancakes.
"So honey, are all your things packed and ready to go?" her mom asked after she said grace over her food.
"Yeah, I'm sure I packed everything." Mia responded then taking another bit of her pancake.
"Jim, she is going to need your help carrying the rest of her things to the car." Her mom said turning to Mia's dad.
Jim grunted in response and nodded his head. Mia sighed and continued eating. See her dad had been giving her the cold shoulder ever since she decided to be a reporter rather than a lawyer like he wanted her to be; since he is a successful lawyer himself.
After breakfast Mia and her parents were carrying her things out to her car. After her things were stuff tight in her trunk and the back seat she turned to her parents to say good bye.
Mia's mom went over and gave her a hug and said, "Call everyday and when you need anything call."
"Mom you're acting like I am going to college all over again." Mia said letting out of her mom embrace.
"Kira, please the girl is going to be just fine." Jim went over to hug his daughter.
"Be safe." He whispered, in his daughter's ear. Mia nodded and let go of her father. Mia got in her car and headed over to her car. She waved to her parent's good bye and then got in her car heading toward Metropolis.

Mia POV.
I finally made it to my new apartment after that long drive from Central City to Metropolis. I sat the box down of my things and looked around the apartment. Man, I did one heck of a job picking an apartment, I thought to myself. Thankfully my parents helped me get furniture for my apartment as soon as I got the place.
I went back and forth to the car to get more boxes. The last one was a very big box and it was kind of heavy. I was struggling to hold up the box and I almost drop it trying to climb my steps to my apartment.
"Do you need some help with that?" I stopped in my tracks and turn to a very handsome. Good lord was he cute. He reminded me of a sexy nerd. He had black hair, blue eyes, and wore glasses. The man looked well built like he spent a lot of time at the gym. He wore a friendly smile on his face. Man, is he cute.
I snapped out of my trance before I started drooling. "Uhm...Yeah...Uhm...T-thank you." I said feeling my face heat up. Man I hate that I am so awkward around strangers or cute guys.
He walked over to me and took the box out of my hand. "No problem. My name is Clark Kent by the way." He said walking up the steps to the apartment and me following behind him. I got in front of him to lead the way.
"My name is Mia, Mia Jones." Once inside the apartment building we walked up three flights of stairs and walked down the hall to my apartment 3B.
"Wow I guess we're neighbors. I'm apartment 3C."
I looked at him and smiled. "I guess so. Well thank you for your help I guess I will see you around." I said walking him to my door.
"No problem and welcome to Metropolis." He said and walked out the door. I closed the door behind him. I'm really going to enjoy him being my neighbor, but there was something about him I could not put my finger on.
The growling of my stomach interrupted my thoughts. So, I decided to order some pizza for dinner. God knows I don't feel like cooking tonight.
I hope you enjoy the book so far (even though its only chapter 1). Anyway, I always wanted to write a Superman Fanfiction, so, I decided to do it. Please give it a chance and also check out my other book: New World Order. I will update both books as much as possible.
