Chapter 9 ~ Jealousy

Rainbow's POV:

(The next day)

I sat down on the couch with my phone out texting Fluttershy. My mom was taking a long time to get ready to drop me off.

I looked at the time on my phone. It read 08:32. I don't think Mom's even out of bed. And she promised she would drive me.

I got up and walked over to her closed door. "MOOOOM, WAKE UP!" I screamed and started banging on her door.

All of a sudden, my mom jumped out of the room, fully ready, with a gigantic grin on her face.

"How's my wittle sweet heart boo-boo-bear pumpkin?!" she asked with a voice you would talk to a baby like.

She started to pinch my cheeks.

"Mom stop it!" I aggressively pushed her hands away. "You promised you would just drop me off, not treat me like a baby! And I swear if you do that around my friends, you're dead."

She giggled. "Ok, I'm sorry Shortcake, I'll just drop you off."

"Good! I'll be in the car waiting," I said walking off grabbing my phone to text Fluttershy.

It actually didn't take long for Mom to get in the car and start driving. Right as she stepped in and started speaking, I put in my ear buds and started listening to Green Day full volume.

If I heard my mom's voice at all, I turned up the volume. At one point on the ride, I closed my eyes and just listened.

"To live and not breathe, is to die in tragedy. To run, to run away, to find what you-"

All of a sudden the music stopped. I opened my eyes to see I was at Canterlot High and my mom with my ear buds in her hands.

"Thank you," I said grabbing my ear buds and stepping out of the car. Right when she was about to say something stupid sappy, I closed the door and ran off.

I joined where my friends all met up. The side of the school. We normally always had 10 minutes until they opened the doors, so we had some time to talk.

"Hey Rainbow!" Pinkie said and ran over to me and hugged me.

I gently pushed her away. "Hey guys." I put my backpack down and sat down.

Everyone was there except two people. "Where's Applejack and Rarity?" I asked.

Twilight was on the ground reading a book, Fluttershy next to her petting her bunny, and Pinkie being her cheery self.

Fluttershy shrugged. "Oh- I hope they are okay."

"I'm pretty sure they're dating," Pinkie said.

I rolled my eyes. "Twilight, do you know?"

Twilight didn't respond. Pinkie walked over to Twilight and aggressively pulled her book away. "Yoo hooo, anyone home?"

"PINKIE, I WAS READING THAT!" Twilight seemed to only get triggered when you interfere when she's reading.

"How else was I supposed to get your attention?" Pinkie chuckled and gave her her book back.

Twilight took the book without hesitation. "Oh, uh, what do you want?"

"Where's Applejack and Rarity?" I asked.

"How would I know? I don't stalk people like you do Rainbow."

I felt my face go red. "How do you-"

"Though yesterday I saw outside of Study club Fancy Pants and some girl- Roseluck I believe, making out against a locker. And I think Rarity saw it, so maybe it has something to do with that." Twilight sighed and continued reading her book.

"Fancy Pants did what...?" Fluttershy asked confused.

"Damnnn, Rarity must be preeeetttty devastated," Pinkie stated.

As if they were on cue, Applejack yelled, "HOWDY YA'AL!"

Rarity and Applejack's arms were linked together, and Rarity looked really happy.

"Why are you both later than usual?" I asked.

"Oh... Applejack slept over at my place and we ended up sleeping in," Rarity responded.

I felt a surge of extremely hyper energy jump out of Pinkie. She jumped up. "I bet you guys had fun," she said, raising her eyebrows.

Pinkie's POV:

YESSSEEYEYEYEYEYEEEEHAWWWWYEYEYEYEYEY! THEY HAD A FUCKING SLEEPOVER TOGETHER. ALONE. RARIJACK IS CANON! AHHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA.

I KNEW THE 15 BUCKS I GAVE TO THE CRUSADERS WERE WORTH IT! MY PLAN. IS WORKING.

Applejack's face went red.

"Yeah we did," Rarity said. Rarity booped Applejack on the nose.

"AWWWWWEE, I TOTALLLY SHIPP ITTTT!" I screamed.

SHIPPING. RADAR. BEEPING.

Everyone paused and just stared at me.

"Pinkie, what in the world are you doing?" Rarity asked.

Rainbow's POV:

It was so weird, I seriously thought Applejack liked me. But now, now, I see her with Rarity. All happy like. As if I don't exsist. And it- I guess it hurts.

Nobody seems to realize it, but I'm just sitting there. Staring at the ground. Alone. It feels like I was just punched.

Applejack's face is red as a tomato. Rarity has her arm linked with Applejack's.

I bight my lip, trying to not cry. It's so stupid, I never react to this type of stuff. I never cared about love at all.

Oh yeah and Pinkie's beeping like a fucking idiot.

"DARLING, COULD YOU PLEASE STOP?!" Rarity shouted.

Pinkie then started jumping around. Fluttershy stood up and got ahold of Pinkie, and made her calm her down.

Pinkie took a few breaths and started laughing.

"I- is she okay?" Applejack asked.

Fluttershy nodded. "She does this when ships something and she feels like the ship is real."

Applejack and Rarity unlinked arms. Finally.

Pinkie started hyperventilating.

"How come she hasn't done this before?" Rarity asked.

"Because she hasn't felt like a ship was actually real, or she would call it, 'canon'."

"Wait how do you know this?" Applejack asked.

"Pinkie, Twilight, and I were watching a movie together. Twilight knows this too, but she's too busy reading her book right now."

The rest of the conversation was a blur. Pinkie eventually did calm down but eh, I honestly didn't care anymore. I just wanted to go inside and die a little bit. I didn't feel as important anymore. And it felt like nobody was there for me. They never were.

The bell finally rung, I stood up and swung my backpack over my shoulder. Right when I was about to join the crowd and walk in, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked over to see it was Twilight.

"Are you okay? I didn't hear you join the conversation after Applejack and Rarity walk in."

I nodded and walked away.

Twilight grabbed my hand and made me turn her way. "Seriously, Rainbow, are you okay?"

Sorry there wasn't that much Rarijack in this chapter. I promise there will be in the next chapter. And again I apologize for the really long wait for this chapter. I just don't have that much motivation to write anymore.
