To Future

To Future

The world outside, a blur,

trees, animals passing by

Behind stood my life,

Ahead stood uncertainity

Yet, I looked ahead

My past,

The mistakes,

Some friends

Both good and evil

And yes, a broken heart

And yet the past,

despite its nature torrid

clung like a disease,

refusing to leave

And when an opportunity beckoned,

So unlike myself

I jumped at it

like never before

And now, as I sit in a moving car

Hope clashes with my logic of escape

And curiously, both blend,

When I look forward

Into the uncertain future

The world outside was a blur,

trees, animals passing by

Behind stood my past,

Ahead stood hope

Yet, I stared ahead. Optimistically
