IT'S a wonder, this thing called time
From a little girl in a kimono,
You blossomed
Whilst I lagged behind.
Flowers were in plenty
And I was a bee,
You were a sunflower
And the Sun was in the next classroom.
I courted you foolishly,
You were charmed;
Charmed enough to make
My poor behind sore.
I wasn't the only fool,
The Sun joined the bandwagon,
Casting his radiance on you;
And you took the bait.
