Priorities

Ming walked into Yo's office just as Nick was sitting down. 

"Dad says he wants to see all of his sons soon." He looked pointedly at Yo to remind him that he counted.

"With or without the kids?" Yo asked as he came around to lean against his desk.

"Doesn't matter. Our Mick will watch your Win like a hawk anyway."

"True. So Nick. We have your contract here. Look it over. It has all the things we discussed."

"It's a great contract. I'm pleased about it." Ming said with a smile before he looked at Yo. "It's nice to hear Suthee is back. I'm looking forward to seeing him."

"Who's Suthee? If you don't mind me asking?"

"Ah, he's a university friend and a doctor now. He went for medical Moon against Ming and I when we were taking part in that competition."

"Oh. I was almost moon for the science department." Yo and Ming stared at Nick as he dropped this little bomb. "Only in the end they felt I was too young and I declined anyway because I did a triple major in University and I didn't have time for that kind of thing."

Ming nodded. When his dad had told him Nick had needed special dispensation to be able to get a Bachelors in Chem, Bio and Physics as a triple major, Ming had just blinked and nodded. He didn't know what to say to that except to support his new genius little brother. 

"We should have a thing. Get Suthee over and you too Nick. You haven't been to anything we've done before. It will be great to have you. Let everyone get to know you."

Nick glanced up at Yo for a beat then gave a slow nod and went back to reading the contract. Ming smiled softly and shook his head. They continued to chat until Nick suddenly picked up the pen and signed. He handed everything back to Yo who gave him a light rub on his shoulder.

"Thanks Nick. Did you see the improvements on the dark room I made for you. I'm thinking of having a day care built in the lot we don't use. The one over in the back."

"We'll have to clean it out and get the area approved."

"Yep. Actually I made an appointment to check out the spot or at least assess any of the unused lots. I want to have a sensory room in it like we just did for Nick."

That made Nick pause. He looked at Yo. "I have a lot of research material on it. It's a bit to slog through but if you want it, I can pick some of the best material I have and send it to you."

"Yes. Thank you Nicky and if you have any other suggestions, let me know."

"Sure."

Ming smiled softly at Nick's back and walked out to. The boy was a sweetheart. Awkward and introverted but deeply sweet.

Kit looked at Rose who was sitting across him on his kitchen island and sighed in relief. 

I want you to know we wouldn't let you go there alone. I can't handle my brother but Ming and the others can. He might get violent with you."

"Kit. You know very well I'm a good as Ming in the Muay Thai."

"But I still feel better having someone go with you."

"That's fine. Is there anything you think is important for me to know from the start?"

"I'm not trying to hook you up with him. The thought occurred to me that it might look that way. I just think you live in a similar world and your worlds might be able to collide and reform into a newer, more healthier place for the both of you to live."
