I add on things as I go and check them off as they get done:
Before the album is fully mastered but after creating a single that " opens the door", make sure to release at least one song through CD Baby Pro, before the album drop in order to secure an artist's account on various platforms and in order to get Show Co going.
Before release I made sure I
✔️ Registered my songs with my PRO (STIM)
✔️ Registered with CCLI
✔️ Bought a CDBaby PRO Distribution package
✔️Did a Photoshoot for the album Release
I need to create Album cover ART- CD cover and thumbnail and liner notes art-
I need to consign someone to create Sheet Music for (at least) these three songs: Every Day; Just How Good & Our Father if it isn't too expensive, I should get all twelve done.

Then I read Ari's book. My head was spinning but it was a great help

Tip:
I just want to let you know that the best list of what to do was found in Ari Herstand's book "How to make it in the New Music Business", 1st edition, pages 114 to 118. The Bridge in each chapter is great but this was the most useful for me.
I used Wunderlist and then ToDo (Microsoft) to write todo lists for all the things to think about and do before the release. Looking back, I wish I had just produced the music faster but I was afraid of missing anything, like we all are when we are newbies. Self love.
I guess I did do many of the things mentioned in there but I am only human and you are too, so don't worry if you can't possible do it all. Just do your music o.k. The world will find those who do GREAT music so make it great and don't worry about the todo lists.
Hugs.
Until Next time.
